What rumors? No one has put out that he has been offered the job, or any reason yet to believe he is their #1 target. There isn't really anything to say.
This, every thread that brings up how he should make a public statement should be whacked.

Michigan hasn't contacted me yet about the head coaching job, but I'm planning a press conference to announce that I am not interested.

would be easy enough if applicable

University of Texas is to Saban
What
Michigan is to Miles
What
Michigan is to Miles

If he did come out and say something, then I'd be worried that he was leaving.

We'll see - nobody knows yet except Michigan and somebody

a solid source for compensation negotiation and contract extension
...let's see if Alleva falls for it again

He should def call a presser to address halfway rumors running rampant on the TD coaching changes board. This must be stopped.
You have national sports television shows and radio shows bringing up his name, he might want to make a comment or release a statement

No he teaches his recruits how to be a professional and not listen to the media and sports talk radio. Hopefully they already have enough sense to not read this site.

I would say he should dispell rumors if people were claiming he was having contact with Michigan or discussions were happening. But to websites saying "hey Les went to Michigan, maybe he'll go coach there this time!" I don't think he needs to respond to that. By that logic Sean Payton and Mike Tomlin should be issuing statements too

The only thing occurring on this site right now is a bunch of wild arse speculation. Lots of mindless up voting any post speculating on les leaving, and down voting any post saying he is staying.

Huh? Michigan is Miles' alma-mater. I don't think anyone has any evidence at all about Saban having any serious interest in the Texas job. Saban has never had anything to do with the Texas program besides playing across them on the football field a time or two. Miles coached at Michigan, played at Michigan, and grew up in Ohio very near to Michigan.
Saban was born in West Virginia, played at Kent St. , served as assistants at Syracuse, Mich. St, Ohio St., West Virginia, and Navy. Also was head coach at Toledo, Mich St., LSU, Miami Dolphins and of course Bama.
Couldn't possibly be anymore different besides them both being "rumored".
The Texas rumor was just rooted out of Saban being the best coach, and Texas reportedly being the "best job". That doesnt always work.

Not even then. People could say whatever they want. He can't address every rumor thats out there about him unless it pertains to something that is legitimately going on. I dont care to be honest. I just want it to happen. i just think if he doesnt go then LSU is stuck with him until he retires.

Hackett and Miles are good friends. They are talking and Miles is listening. I don't think anything is going to become of it but Miles or any other coach would be a fool not to at least listen.

This is the man everyone says is such a good person? might be smart business, but it's not good integrity.
The coaches are out recruiting for LSU rt now. Just shut up with this bullshite. They are also extending, Wilson, Haley and Henrys contract which are set to run out in 2 months.

When did he fall for it the first time? After LSU won the sec and played for a national title?

Interesting comment off of the Michigan board

I'll be pissed if the "big wigs" block the Miles move again. They screwed us the 1st time with it, now they could do it again. He's the best guy to turn it around right away if Harbaugh stays in the NFL.
