"Gauge Herman"..,, disinformation, playing dumb..."yeah I guess we'll have to call him and see if he might be interested, because we certainly haven't talked to him yet".... LOL, bull.shite.

I guarantee you LSU has gauged Herman already and has at least an idea where he stands

I'm totally buying the disinformation angle and Random and other People getting fed smokescreens

You realize a shite auburn team who had two of the luckiest wins in football history came within an eyelash of beating jimbo and his once in a lifetime jamies.?

"Lucky wins" -- they played Alabama to a draw and then won under unusual circumstances. Auburn cannot be considered a 'bad team' in that year if they took 'Bama down to the wire.

If Jimbo doesn't accept in that timeframe, we're rolling with Herman.

So Herman is number 2, Number2.

Herman to Texas. All of Alleva's eggs are in Jimbo's basket. If that doesn't work out we are screwed. At that point I would still put Orgeron next in line.

Speaking of idiots, why do you have to shite on every thread just because you're a pouting little bitch that's not getting its way? How many years of hiring coaches experience do you have?

I'm just trying to put the pieces together like everyone else... I feel confident we will be hiring Jimbo or Herman, both of which I'd personally be happy with.

Herman has more of the "sexy unknown" and Jimbo has more of the "turn key solution" ... Different, but both will probably do very well at LSU.

We'll know soon enough.

Tom Herman lived in my neighborhood when he was a coach at rice. I met him a few times when he was nobody. Know his family more than him because he was living at the coaches office. This dude is smart. He knows what will happen in a game before it's played.

I'll say this. He is guarded. I promise you nobody has interviewed him yet. I also say he won't make a decision based on money alone. He will get a lot of money. He will examine every angle. He weigh the options. If lsu or any team wants him they will wait till he talks to every school. Period. This dude is not emotional
I laugh at all the "UT is his Dream school" crap. This guy doesn't dream. He cognates.

Well that explains things...

I actually prefer him over Jimbo, but I would be ecstatic with either guy.

If what you say is true, why are you spouting LSU incompetence? You just contradicted that notion if Herman is "guarded". fricknut

Agree 100% . but if you were to put money on the one that would bring the next NC, it would have to be Jimbo. He's just much more proven than Herman.

To me it's a no brainer to get jimbo if you can.

My guess?

Jimbo stays at FSU.

Herman goes to Texas.

The LSU administration has to scramble to figure out what to do next.

We are in mid-December and still don't have a coach and the "search firm" is trying to line up interviews with candidates. Orgeron bolts, the recruiting class falls apart, Aranda joins Herman in Texas, and Tiger Nation melts down.

Sorry for the doom and gloom. But, that is fully what I expect to happen at this point because I have no reason to believe otherwise from the dumpster fire that has been the LSU Administration over the past several years. If anything good happens, I'll be thankful and surprised.

Down vote me all you want. But, tell me you're not thinking it too.
