Is this tired SEC homer argument still around?

The SEC isn't nearly the dominant conference it once was. As another poster said, it's Bama then everyone else.

Not to mention, Chip led a flashy Oregon team to the BCS Championship, and I don't know if you recall but they only lost to a Cam Newton lead SEC team by a field goal as time expired and held them to 23 points (which was their 2nd lowest points scored all year).

And about your silly argument that he "couldn't even beat Les Miles". Uhhhh, nobody could beat Les Miles that year (except Saban). That was a once in lifetime star studded team.

Chip Kelley is a top 5 coach in the country. We would be lucky to get him.

is this supposed to be some kind of dig at les miles? Because the list of coaches that "couldn't hang" with a les miles coached team is a pretty long and distinguished list.

No. I only want coaches who have never ever lost a single game ever at LSU.

no team could, in the regular season that year. the only game that was close, was in Tuscaloosa.

I doubt they will lose but are coaching candidates not allowed to lose?

Yes I would. Because I know Houston is not a very talented team. Herman is a good coach though.

He's losing games because he's checked out. It takes everything in him not to come out of the locker room with an LSU coaches polo on.

You might want to take a closer look at their recruiting classes, particularly on the offensive side of the ball.

One of the most informatively incorrect responses I've ever seen.

His offense was good because he used mismatches on the outside to his advantage because of the at helmeted he could get.

He did not have access to big linemen on either side of the ball. Getting mostly 2&3* guys to play defense for him. Yet they were high up on forcing turnovers often. And, they held a pretty strong auburn offense led by cam to 22?

He admitted after playing lsu the size and speed of the sec on the defense is the biggest deference between the sec and all other conferences.

I'm not saying he's Nick Saban on defense, but to say he doesn't know what defense is is absolutely ridiculous.

He'd be my #1 pick today if he were even considering. But he's in year 1 with San Fran.

As far as Herman. Of course people will still want him, he is the flavor of the month. God forbid someone like Jimbo lose a game or 2 because then he would be a bad hire

You're dead wrong about that. The one thing we don't want is Kelly in the SEC
