We all feel he retires at Bama

However, just for fun...which NFL GM would he best be paired with??? Even if he does get an itch to try for success (which he has NOT accomplished) at the BEST level of football, which GM and organization would he fit BEST with.

I say San Fransisco. GM....I scratch my head

Saban had full control at Miami, Rick Mueller was GM in title only.

He would likely ask for the same from any NFL team...

Mickey Loomis

He's the beans guy, Saban is the personnel guy. Like Drew, both only left about a 3-5 year window. We'll finally figure out what could have been with Saban/Drew combo.

Fact Saban took NFL calls last year.
Would you not listen to Denver if they called knowing you have a top defense already and Elway will find a QB.

I would take him in SF & let him pick his GM. I don't think there's much chance of that happening though.

Saban wants control + Jones wants control = Not a good match

Drew has a 1-2 year window. That's it. He'll be 38 when the 2017 NFL season begins. There is no way he has 5 seasons left. not effective seasons any way.

John Schneider. The Seahawks play Bama football with the way they play physical defense and rely on their running game.

The only way Saban would even entertain the idea of going back to the NFL is if he had a star for QB.

I would say God but the GM/Coach relationship would still be kind of murky.

If Saban wouldn't go to the Giants with Manning, he's not going to Denver with Broke Back Romo.

I don't remember all the names but heard a discussion where they were talking about the assistant coaches under Saban at Miami. Sounds like many of them are having success in the NFL. Maybe he does give it another shot to prove himself

Well, first of all that's not how you spell San Francisco.

Beyond that, he fits best with whatever GM will do what he wants – a GM in name only.

Peter King keeps stirring the Saban back to the NFL pot. He brought him up for the Colts yesterday, but as much as I'd like to see that happen, I doubt it.

If Marvin Lewis retires from Cincinnati, as is rumored to happen. Saban would be a good fit in Cincy. Pretty good Defense, Good QB, Pro-Bowl WR, and decent RBs.
