I no longer believe Lincoln Riley was ever Woodrow's white whale. This was deliberately fed to insiders, etc... and then relayed to sources (you, sports writers, etc...). I now believe the real white whale is Chris Petersen.

Hey TBL, I’m of the opinion the deal is done, whether it be with Riley or someone else.
Technically-speaking, Do you know what ways would be used to lock it in?…meaning would it be a MOU or could they actually have already signed a pre-dated contract? Just curious or if there’s some other way that you’re aware of that could be used
Personally I don’t for a second believe Woodward is sitting around waiting on a verbal yes or no from someone.

I’m not saying it’s Petersen, but I could totally see all parties involved (Peterson and LSU) wanting to wait out of respect to the current LSU team players and coaches season to finish before announcing.
