Jimbo has a Natty and both are Offensive minded.
Jimbo also has a freshman starting QB.

If O doesnt hire a homerun OC (Ensminger is not) then we will stay where we are, 2-4 losses. Aranda will get tired and leave like chavis.

I like O but to think he's the best man for the job is laughable and you know damn well if he wasn't from South La NOBODY would want him as coach

These guys all think they know what's best for LSU and I'm hoping beyond hope they hire this man for the job he's doing an added bonus would be to flush these idiots from our fanbase we don't need them. Y'all go route for La Tech and hire Jimbo there lol

But if you were an Alabama or an Ohio State fan and the decision were up to you, neither would have their respective job because they were from "outside". So please just stop sucking up all of the oxygen in the room.

They both had already won national championships! Those hires had no associated risk whatsoever! Jimbo has won the NC, but he had Jameis Winston, a once in a lifetime QB. Herman is impressive but has not played in a top tier conference, much less won a NC.

Read my post above never said he's the man for the job, read my post history. Him being from here has nothing to do with what I like about him nothing at all.

He ran the Ohio State offense with a third string QB and won a National Championship.

My first take on Orgeron coming onto the staff at all was with misgivings. How wrong I was!

My first thought on a replacement for CLM last year was Herman. I'm not against his possible hiring, but I am not sure I'm seeing a stronger HC in him than in CEO.

I didn't really want Jimbo last year; I want him even less this year. He reminds me of somebody's idea of a perfect fit for LSU that wouldn't be. Plus expensive. Let him end his career at FSU and do the best he can with what they've got.

Les Miles also had a natty and played for another, he was also considered an offensive minded coach, we just fired the man. I know y'all don't like truths because I speak it and y'all down vote it which is fine by me. Jimbo is NOT the way to go, if you want to go the route of Herman I understand that but Jimbo is stale just like Miles was. Lol you idiots wanted to get rid of miles to only hire his clone. Freakn funny shite

The coaching decision is going to be a financial one as well. Some people have recognized this on this board. This is one big reason I hope we do NOT go after Fisher. He will cost us an arm and a leg. We'll need that money to pay for assistants. If Fisher was "great" I wouldn't have a problem with it, but he is in my opinion a "good" coach, but how is that much different than Miles.

You want to replace Coach O with that?

Herman has two wins against top five ranked football teams....this year alone. Has Coach O had any?

They also lost to SMU and Navy

Do you think Coach O has never had any bad losses as a head coach?

Jimbo is past his prime

Maybe but he is still a relatively young guy.

Herman may end up being a great coach, but it is still a major risk to think he can move into the SEC and beat Alabama or anyone else for that matter.

IMO the odds of him being a great coach are better than O being a great coach. But I guess that is debatable. Not many coaches, including O are capable of beating Bama at the moment.

Let's get behind the man! He has already worked miracles

If we hire O, I will absolutely support him and hope we will every game, but a miracle would have been beating Bama, which we did not.

Well this argument is ridiculous, the only team we played that even resembles a top 5 team is bama and no one came closer to beating them then LSU. Don't come in here with this crap, he will have his chance to beat ranked teams, FL and A&M are ranked then he has the sugar bowl after these two wins. How's that?

You're right because FSU and Houston's talent is just as good as LSU's

It's not an excuse. They run the philosophy due to lack of size

Jimbo's 2016 record

Go look at Saban's records before coming to LSU. In your theory, you wouldn't want him here either.

1995 Michigan State 6–5–1 4–3–1 5th L Independence
1996 Michigan State 6–6 5–3 5th L Sun
1997 Michigan State 7–5 4–4 6th L Aloha
1998 Michigan State 6–6 4–4 6th
1999 Michigan State 9–2* 6–2 T–2nd Invited to Citrus*

I'm for Coach O, but your reasoning is dumb.

Honestly, I don't know why people are arguing these points. I would genuinely be content/excited with any of them as long as we keep CDA and hire an elite OC.
