PS.. no one gets better at their job over time right ?

Yea, LSU should be the guinea pig. Makes sense. It's not like we expect SEC titles and beating Bama every year, as a fan base.

just a couple of specifics that show his superior coaching ability than his predecessor.

Do we do corner kicks any more on kickoffs now that CEO took over? No, he ended that right after the very first kickoff in his tenure.

Is the offense execution much better? yes

do the players seem more motivated and focused? yes

Is the play calling much improved? yes

Do we shut down the offense when we get a lead and try to milk it to the end of the game? No

Are we getting the plays in on time without the clock constantly running down on us? yes

Do we look better in every phase of the game than we looked under his predecessor? yes

It's become abundantly clear that a significant portion of our fans don't actually care about winning - they just want a Louisiana personality to lead the program, even if it means 9-3 seasons and annual trips to the Texas Bowl.

We had this under Less Miles.

Do you think Coach O is the very best LSU can do?

If the answer is no, then why are we having this conversation?

So if O beats all the teams in our conference over the next 6 weeks? the only critics he would have would be losers like the OP because all the critics from the other SEC west schools just got beat by Coach O .

If you want to settle for O you will have to shake hands with a ceiling of 9 wins and a lot of 7 and 8 win seasons.

It is a pretty strong rumor that for Coach O to get the job he is going to have to win out or at least go 5-1 with a very manageable loss to Bama. Let's say he does win out that would mean he took the same team that Miles went 2-2 and just went 8-0 how and why would you project with that type of performance Coach O will be at a ceiling of 9 wins a year?

THIS!!!! He may be better...but what is better??? a .500 record over three years...LSU is not some nobody school that has to take a risk like this. Let some other school find out.
