This is so frickng stupid.

Here's one of the many LSU superfans that would be ecstatic over the Orgeron hire -

quote:

I don't give a shite about national championships. Yes I want to win but I don't need dominance at all costs per Saban. Say what you want but I care more about LSU being LSU.

IMO We have lost so much of the traditions that made LSU a special place. We all know this and there are countless threads to throw-up about it. Piped in music anyone?

I want a coach that will bleed on the field with our players and cry with them off the field.

I want a coach that remembers what Saturday Night in Death Valley was all about.

Blast away but I don't think any other coach in college football represents the school and the state better than O.

LINK

He doesn't care about championships. Doesn't care about winning. And he apparently doesn't care about Orgeron's previous failures as a head coach. He wants a good ol' Louisiana boy to coach the Tigers because he thinks it would be good fit.

And, unfortunately, he isn't the only "fan" that thinks like this.

anything that occurs during that span will provide zero additional insight into his ability to manage and run a program over the long term

so if LSU runs the table, beats Bama, win their bowl game, executes well, and looks well coached throughout, has what would be considered a miracle season, that doesn't give you any insight?

To me that says we have our new head coach (if we don't get Herman)

you are a dummy. Go be a Tulane fan

and you have the audacity to and belittle those that like what they see about O?

How many NY6 bowl games has Coach O led his teams to and won? Wait, I'll make it easier for you. How many bowl games has Coach O won as a HC? Even easier. How many bowl games has he been a HC for?

Hint : It's the same number for each question.

Why would Orgeron's ability to motivate a team over a period of 7 weeks offer any insight into his ability to build and maintain his own major collegiate football program over many years?

If Orgeron does what he did at Ole Miss, get ready to possibly luck into one conference win a year.

LSU fans are utterly retarded. Getting Coach O as a permanent head coach would be way worse than still having Miles. It's like you morons don't have any vision.

it offers insight because he IS THE HC right now for the remainder of the season. Motivating players, other than recruiting, is probably the biggest part of being a HC. What part of being an interim do you think is so different from being a HC?

Is coach O a better coach and a better recruiter than his predecessor and the answer is a resounding yes.

Based on what?

have you seen the past 2 games ? WTF is wrong with you people ?
we played our 3 best halves in the past 2 games. Lambordi wasn't a lingual genius but he coach the hell out of a football team. Get over it.

this is the same stupid argument people were making about J Lee not looking good on the field but we were undefeated.

Amazing what some people think they know around here

Based on his past results, I think a 9 win average is a generous projection.

I cannot wrap my brain around someone that won 3 SEC games in his first stint as HC and then turned out to be a coach capable of leading a team to multiple NC appearances, consistently defeating the GOAT CFB coach in the process. That scenario is just so unlikely on its face. I don't see what his supporters see in him to believe he's capable of that. Other fans are hoping we hire him. What does that tell you?

He's a great cook, phenomenal even. Doesn't mean he can run a restaurant.

he is running the restaurant right now. He turned a failing Burger King into a 5 star restaurant in just a few short weeks., Amazing what he has done SO FAR. with the emphasis on so far. Still have to see how it works out.

He could be better than he was at OM and still not good enough to beat Saban or come close to it. Do you acknowledge that as a possibility?

And you obviously have no memory of Miles the last few years. This ship was sinking, can O turn that around? I don't know, no one does right now. But to say O will be way worse than Miles, at least the Miles the last 3-4 years, is crazy talk.

Our frickin' shrimp boot wearing fans are going to get O the job, and I'm going to pull my hair out and prepare for mediocrity. I don't give a shite how this season plays out, there is absolutely no excuse for hiring a position coach as HC for any team in the SEC, not to mention the west, and certainly not a team with the success LSU has had.

Remember this baws--Nick Saban once coached at LSU. This place can attract top coaches. We don't need a cajun. LSU needs someone proven, even if at a smaller school.
