He's probably not realistic, but it's highly probable he will be looking for work. While Oregon is the leader in the clubhouse, he is the kind of guy that wants a challenge and I'm sure that includes taking down old man Saban.

Now is the time to go for the HR hire.

Chip would run one of his 4 plays to break the press.

Doesnt like to recruit, hates dealing with boosters.

Yeah, that'd work out well at LSU.

I would love Chip at LSU. He excites me more than Herman and Fisher.

In Chip you get a potent and dynamic offense, plus he's proven he can compete with and maintain a P5 team. You don't get both of those with Herman or Fisher.

He turned Oregon, a program equivalent to MS State, into a national power. He'd be fine.

He wants to stay in the NFL, does not like recruiting. No way he goes to LSU

Put the full-court press on Herman where he can't say no. Not chip Kelly

There are rumors he has reached out to LSU the last two years. Rumors. He has not faired well in the NFL. I honestly think LSU has a shot. He burned some bridges at Oregon.

If he jumps back to the college ranks, it'll be at Oregon, not LSU.

If you think about it, chip Kelly is the single best realistic hire any school can make.

The only better hires/names are Saban, Meyer, harbaugh, Pete Carroll and bill belichek and obviously none of those are happening.

Kelly is a better hire than any current college coach not listed above, and better than any unknown (to college) NFL coach, i.e. Josh McDaniel.

The only coach on par with Kelly is art briles but he is toxic and unhireable.

He's said in the past that he'd only return to coaching at the college if it was in the SEC.

I love this.

First off, with Kelly at LSU, it would recruit itself

Second, who gives a frick about boosters? You know what boosters like? Winning, which Kelly would do a shite ton of.

I hate that so many people want someone with some kind of connection. Oh he's from Louisiana, or he coached at LSU, or he understands the culture here, bla bla, fricking bla.

Win.
