If they isn't fire him then, he'd have built a stronger case for those who are currently on the Ed-O wagon. The sunshine pumper types who find a way to convince themselves that what they've got is the best option, then settle for mediocrity and claim it's the best they've ever had. He needed to go and that was the time it needed to be done or else it would have been the same as last year. Well, it really needed to happen last year, but the sunshine pampers clouded people's judgement and they're trying to do it again.

The very least he can do is make a reasonable hire, from here. Hell, Strong is a much better prospect than Orgeron and its not close. Or Art Briles, even.

I mean, here's a 5 star, veteran, offensive guru, whose only crime is focusing on football and letting the suits handle the legal matters.

LSU is walking away from Spurrier...again. And for what?
