Sorry man, but Miles was a shite show. Firing him was the right move albeit too late. If you're not realizing that yet you're a dumbass. Sorry

No problem firing Les.......But it should have been done during the off season.

How would we have had a replacement set in stone in September?

so we just started searching?

backdoor deals are done whether people believe it or not ahead of time. WIth miles being fired after the shitshow last year most all thought it was done with strong leads and feelers out already for candidates with possible deals on the table and ready. possibly a handshake agreement in place.

By not firing Les DURING the football season.

Because he was an incompetent shite show. Geez. Did you really fell Les deserved the opportunity to finish the season while mailing it in?

I think Alleva thought surely he could get a hot coach to replace Miles. But, he didn't factor in most coaches see the LSU job is basically a one game season and that game is Alabama against the greatest coach of modern football. Saban and unrealistic LSU fans got these coaches running scared.

Les miles gave up on LSU football on 1-9. Since then he had a 59% winning average.

Let that sink in before you call him the most successful coach.

He gave up.

WHY...WHY...WHY...would Joe Alleva fire Les Miles during the season WITHOUT a coach already confirmed (behind closed doors)??? Proof that Joe Alleva is an amateur.

Something tells me you just don't understand how this works. What coach would commit mid-season while we still have a coach. Especially after last years debacle.

Yes....Those players were recruited to play this season for Les. Either fire him before or after the season....but not during. Just thinking about the players.

He can't talk to anyone until they are ALLOWED to speak to candidates...which is almost ALWAYS AFTER THE SEASON.

He could think about things, but not a single negotiation was ever going to start until AFTER the season. Schools have to GIVE PERMISSION, or contracts have to run out.

LSU didnt' fire Les. Les fired himself. He was given the option to keep his job but he had to fire Cam. Les refused to fire Cam. Like I said, Les got himself fired. He'd still be coaching and probably would have gotten another 2 years out of us if he had fired Cam.

How do you know he doesn't?

Maybe our next coach is coaching a game tomorrow..
Maybe Herman and LSU wanted to wait till Monday to announce...

Did he not call you personally to ask when the press conference should take place?

FIRING Miles was the right decision. HIRING O would be the wrong one. The sad thing is that if O stumbles, which is likely, the same ignoramuses clamoring for him now will return, arguing that we never should have fired Miles in the first place, drawing all the wrong inferences from the sequence of events.

Once again....I have no problem firing Les.....We should have done it either BEFORE or AFTER this season.
