Frmr Jets HC Rex Ryan

Want. The offense has talent (kinda ready for White's role to evolve and Douglas' role to increase). I'd love to see what Rex, who I think is a good coach, can do with a competent QB.

I think he would do mean things to the Saints so I'm all in.

Bowles or Ryan would be solid.

Nothing will change with Dimitroff still there. The reason the jets never got over the hump was because Rex never had the balls to disagree with the GM.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Atlanta Falcons might be in the market for a new general manager after all. This time a week ago, GM Thomas Dimitroff appeared and spoke at the press conference announcing coach Mike Smith’s firing. But the new coach, Rapoport reports, could wind up being the reason Dimitroff gets fired, too.

I'm all for Rex but he needs to bring in a top notch offensive coordinator.

I'm trying to convince myself to like a Rex hire, but I can't. One of those "I hope he proves me wrong" things, but the guy just seems like a joke.

I just don't like anyone better in the market. I mean Harbaugh was unrealistic option A but I think Rex is a great fit.

Rex fields decent teams, will entertain and inform fans being the opposite of Mike Smith, and will face less media scrutiny and probably be less of a spectacle in Atlanta.

except

(1) Dimitroff might be out, and

(2) The Jets never got over the hump because they never had a QB
