ATL has to give Saban a call, IMO.

Gase is a solid candidate and I would be happy to have him, but I saw that SF also requested to talk with him and I would have to think that situation is a little more desirable than Atlanta is currently.

Whatever the Falcons end up doing I just hope that they go with a coach who has an offensive background, and not a defensive one. I don't have anything against HC's with a defensive background but I would like for the Falcons to change it up and hopefully not hire a carbon copy of Mike Smith.

Nothing will change until TD is gone as well.

#Seahawks DC Dan Quinn is expected to hear from the #Falcons, #Jets, and #49ers. All slated to put in official requests, I’m told.

I agree, and unfortunately I no longer have any confidence in TD to make the right decisions, which is saying a lot because I defended him up until the middle of this season. My biggest fear is that TD brings in a new HC and he wins 4-5 games next year and then we have to completely clean house because there is no way TD can survive another disaster, most GM's want to bring in "their" guy so we would be looking for a coach for the second season in a row.

Sadly, I agree. His decision making is baffling most times.

You really think theFalcons would go after another college coach after the Petrini debacle?

Especially when Saban already left the NFL for the college game in a vaguely similar fashion. Flacons won't touch a college coach as long as blank is the owner
