He's going into his 8th season at Bama. I thought he was only at LSU 4 years. I was close. Sue me

But yeah living here in Tuscaloosa it's been cool to see them become part of the community. He was supposed to be a hired gun. You all of course still think he is. It's strange you won't even accept the possibility that maybe that's changed.

7 years is twice as long as 5 years.

and it's strange that you think he has changed even though he has behaved exactly the same way he has his entire career.

but ultimately i would be shocked if all this smoke was anything other than Sexton squeezing every last drop out of Bama.

No.

He is getting old, UT's resources are only negligibly better than bama's, and he would look like even worse of a liar than when he left the Dolphins.

C'mon man, most of us think he's staying but you have to admit the coincidences have been a little crazy.

7 years vs. 5 years.
7 is closer to 5 than it is to 10.

That's because Bama fans called him a hired gun for the 5 years he was here at LSU.

Saban is loyal to no one but his wallet.

He's been at Bama longer than anywhere else, so this statement is false. Something is different, clearly.

I agree everything we are hearing is probably politics but you've got to understand our train of thought. He doesn't have any credibility with us.

Two trusted sources say he's leaving. One of them has assistant coach contacts that say he's gone. The other is the dreaded "friend of a friend of Saban." That one says that Saban dislikes losing more than he loves winning. Nothing we didn't know already. But when 11 underclassmen came to him last week to tell him they intend to declare for the draft, he knows next year is a rebuilding year, even with the talent already there and coming in. He knows next year will be tough and moving on to a new challenge is appealing.

However, in my heart of hearts, my guess is that he stays.

Are you high? Bama has signed a top 2 class every year for 4 years, no one else comes close

and he has the second ranked class coming in.

Not to turn this into a pissing contest, but Alabama will have the number one ranked class and it will probably be unanimous. I know that's hard to fathom with the great class that LSU is bringing in, but Alabama's will be better

okay

I can see that you want to think you're special despite no evidence at all to support it. That's fine and like I have said 100 times I don't think he's leaving.

We know. Y'all have already had 3 Bama-bumps in the last 2 months.

Yes, I do think we're special. Alabama is one of the elite jobs in football. Thats not a crazy opinion; anyone who's not biased would agree. LSU is in that category also.

He was always working to achieve a higher goal.

From MSU to LSU and from LSU to the NFL.

He sucked at the NFL so he dropped back down to CFB. He's always looking for the next challenge. What's the next one? Who knows? Winning another NC at a 3rd school? Possibly. A 2nd try at the NFL? Doubtful.

However, he's driven and once a driven person slips into a perceived (his) comfort level, they usually look for the next challenge to re-motivate themselves.
