Do we have any details of the contract yet?

i've heard it's around $4.75 per for 5 years with a full guarantee

i hope that guy is wrong

i've heard same base pay, increased performance based pay, extension of terms and liberal use of the roll over, more money for assistants, more autonomy over hiring and firing, and increased say so in scheduling

sure, if we plan on buying him out tomorrow. I would guess most every contract requires the balance to be paid if fired "without cause". The question is the rollover provision.

I hear no rollover, 7 year contract, same base plus some additional bonuses, same guaranteed, 18.75 mil

you sound like you're speaking of 2 different things

1. a guaranteed contract
2. a contract with a buyout

you can have a buyout clause to terminate a contract early. it's a common feature

He has been legit since being at LSU. There is no reason to worry about his future success.

Miles will retire here. There is no reason to care about his buyout/extensions.

He apparently got Alleva all scared he wouldn't be able to replace him, and got a big arse new contract out of it.
