I think you are looking at the stats incorrectly in regards to A&M's defense.
They give up lots of points because they play defense for a whole lot more plays because of the pace of the game. More possessions, more plays = more chances to score. A better stat to look at is yards allowed per p...

There is a whole lot of moving pieces in the aggie search. The 4 listed are not the only candidates. In fact I don't think one of Byrnes favs is on the list but there is strong talk that he won't be staying next year. There is a group including some regents and some powerful ags pushing there own ag...
