It's been clear from day 1 that O hired DP on to be his campaign manager. They have successfully used the local media to rile up certain portions of this fanbase to support O being full time HC. O's whole bit about focusing on one game at a time....I'm one of y'all.....blabla. He's running a damn campaign.

Now in the 11th hour - there's all these leaks and misinformation getting out. Why?Where is it coming from? It's pretty obvious. Because it's their only chance to A) create the illusion that the masses won't settle for anything short of O being HC and B) to create enough media speculation and leaks to screw up the Jimbo deal.

It's interesting that the local media is so willing to go along with it. Also the same short sighted fans that saved Miles last year and essentially wasted what could have been a special playoff type season.

Everyone needs to scream from the rooftops about the bias and how they're trying to manipulate public perception. If not we will end up with O and the rest of the SEC will breath a sigh of relief. LSU will hover around 3-4 losses while constantly replacing OCs and DCs and be doing this all again in 3 years.

Beating the teams they have played since he took over and losing the way they lost to the one team they weren't favored against should not qualify him for a top 5 job.

Except I think the majority really want O

I deliver fuel and interact with a lot of people daily, most that I have talked to want O to be the coach, and a lot of them don't listen to talk radio.

That's why it's not a good idea to listen to people who have no idea what's best for a football program. It's not their fault. They just want the emotional hire. It's common in situations like these.

I hope you enjoy the melt as much as you'll enjoy watching the program turned into garbage.

Agreed, it's also why the opinions here of Jimbo, Herman etc mean nothing because no one here knows anything about running a football program either

If they want Jimbo Fisher over Ed Orgeron, then they know more than the people who want the opposite. I promise.

But O took over an experienced preseason top 5 team and flipped the script.... they beat Southern Miss, Ole Miss, and Missouri at home (Probably Ole Miss and Missouri's worst teams in years).

His biggest accomplishment is beating a mediocre Arkansas team on the road and getting shut out looking like a deer in the headlights against Bama.

At least he gets UF at home missing 9 starters with a backup QB and A&M with a backup QB.

This team was supposed to win these games. He grabbed the wheel and kept the car between the lines and yelled enough to get the players hyped. This is all great but should it earn him a top 5 job?

jimbo has won a NC as an OC and another as a HC. But O beat Arky on the road......

Man don't try to talk sense to these morons.

Tom Lugenbill was screaming from the rooftops all year that LSU had just as much talent, if not more than Bama. Lugs would say that he believed LSU was the only team that could beat them.

He said all that before one football was kicked off this season.

But he would always preface that statement with, "If Miles changes the offense".

Miles was THAT BAD that O has looked like Jesus Christ on the sideline.

And our fricktard fans are actually arguing that he's a better HC than Fisher. I'm actually thrilled LSU made the coaching change when they did because these same mongoloids would be wanting to keep Miles another year.

And I love O. But if you think he should be the 1st or 2nd choice to just hand the keys over to him, then you are a fricking idiot/simpleton.

You are overstating the power of a radio station and the importance of fan opinion. I really don't think Alleva or anyone at TAF cares about either.

Yea. I almost don't know TBH. If Miles would have lost 2 more games, I still think the admin could have made the move to fire him. Then we never would have had this O issue we have now. We would have been free and clear to bring in a good coach without having to worry about the O faithful fricking shite up. People are going to want to keep him and the call will be louder than Miles. And our admin has proven to listen to the calls and make emotional decisions. It's laughable, but this is our program.

And yours truly have some thoughts on what is really going on behind the scenes. Break out the black helicopters, memory altering special wands and tin foil hats. Won't post specifically for public consumption....

Let's just say I will enjoy the games and hope for the best. But I am really starting to think there are sections of major collegiate sports and professional sports tied into the illuminati....DEAD SERIOUS>

Just a shame our beloved university and professional coaches are being used like pawns. The biggest enemy and boogey man here in CFB IMHO (besides meglamaniac millionaires throwing money to influence institutions on what they want) is Emmert, our former President. He is as much an enemy to LSU's aspirations as anyone. Wonder if he holds a grudge vs. LSU from something that happened during his time year that did not seep out into the news? Or, his loyalty to Saban and the REC is just that strong. We need union and strong leadership to fight this. And that is were we have an issue....at least a section of the power base.

I think OP is correct. 104.5 would love the inside access they would continue to get with O. Hopefully Alleva et al can weather the storm and get the deal done with Jimbo.

Next 2 weeks will be interesting for sure.
