You should all be banned, but Allevea runs this forum so your most likely here for next season.

You are obviously here to man up, I am pretty sure Random will still be around. I am willing to bet we here nothing again from DALSU.

Deal fell through because a counter offer? It's like you've never heard of negotiation before.

What you reported may have been correct, when you reported it.

The situation changed after the media bashed LSU and would have continually bashed LSU if the new coach failed to perform as well as Miles.

It was a no win situation due to the way the AD handled the process. He comes off as looking like an incompetent buffoon. I know a little about hiring and firing people as I've made literally thousands of those decisions. This was handled wrong from the beginning. Those who were pushing for this are so far removed from the average fan they simply didn't understand that they were acting in a very heavy handed way to an honorable man.

The LSU fan base would have accepted a change if it had been done right. Floating names of replacements, only to be denied appeared to be amateurish at best.

I'll be waiting for your report on when Alleva gets shown the door. In corporate America, this P.R. disaster would cause heads to roll. Alleva has damaged the LSU brand and IMO, should be fired.

Deal fell through due to FSU counter offer

My biggest issue is that the FSU mods and some old FSU Rivals posters are/were always well connected. If something was/is brewing about a recruit or a coach, and they spoke, it was coming from a solid source.

This time around, there's was nothing. Not a peep, not a shred of evidence, not a wisp of smoke on their side to corroborate the raging fire you and the other two dimwits spewed on here.

FSU insiders said the chatter indicates LSU must've targeted Fisher, but Fisher wants to remain with FSU. That's it.

Whereas, you knumbnuts said:
The deal is done,
Deal signed
Deal not signed
FSU countering
48 hr matching period was up,
Jimbo's coming cuz his kid's doctor is in Louisiana
Miles to be fired on Sunday
Miles to fired on Monday
Jimbo's plane to arrive on Monday to sign
Jimbo coming cuz he's upset over FSUs handling of rape scandal
Chip Kelly threw his name in the hat
Spurrier throws name into hat
LSU recounters
Jimbo ate three meals and took two shits.

All kinds of extraneous details, none of which has any tangible evidence. Hell, you are continuing to spew & spin the same post-deal BS even in this thread as if it were behind-the-scenes fact.

The FSU side is not even saying Fisher has a new contract out of all this. Maybe if THEY do, I MIGHT reconsider if there were some actual deal HERE in the works. Cuz I sure as shite ain't taking you or your imaginary friend's word for it.

So you, RHL, and DALSU can STFU.

Not only was the deal done, they said, but Jimbo was putting together his staff. We were gonna get Muschamp and somebody out of left field who would blow our minds.

It was ridiculous and getting out of hand. Can't believe how everyone went nuts when one or two guys doubted it. This must have been how Koresh, Jonestown and Heaven's Gate got started.

I trust what u are saying but if Alleva just thought Fsu would just let Jimbo walk then he needs to be fired today.

Well said.

At the end of the day, this place is the stereotypical beauty salon gossip group.

And zero evidence of such "counteroffer."

I said this from day one. There was no way a deal was done without the FSU side knowing.

LSU fans -- "but Chavis."

I hate you!

Just kidding. I believe you bro. I think things should have been in the works way before the end of the season.

It's hard to rush people into life altering decisions on a fast timeline.
Most people opt for the security they have in place.
Had Fisher been in distress, I could totally have seen this going in a different direction.

Bottom line is Miles is beloved by players and recruits.
That decision involved them too.
Miles won't be forever, we should support him for the sake of the team, since we have little influence on the outcome of his tenure.
