bullshite. He was saying yesterday before the game that Miles was gone 100% and that nothing coaching-wise would be decided on Saturday.

He either got played or he was trolling.

ETA:

And the Chip Kelly stuff is absolute bullshite.

What a joke this whole debacle has been. LSU has gotten bashed for what they've done, and now have decided the media was correct and will now get bashed for not doing it. It's the single worst PR experiment ever.

F the haters son. I'm sure you reported in good faith what you heard. deals break down all the time. The les lover only crowd will be happy though to keep finishing 4th in the west with no sec west title and more losses to bama.

Alleva should be hung from the gallows for botching this. I'd advise sending letters straight to that spineless douchebag plus all the BOS asking for resignations among other things. You can give up season tix or boycott. Choice is yours. plenty ways to handle this.

i've had season tix since a long time(since 90's) and have put tens of thousands into the program like others but you have to speak out and express dissent to the higher ups.

would FSU really waste time making a counter offer when the LSU position isn't even open ?

seems like at most FSU would have said we will counter when we see a real job open up, then we can talk about LSU not seeking permission to talk to our coach or his agent while under contract for us.

The problem is the "sources". These assclowns should have never leaked any of this info...if what they leaked was actually true, what exactly was the purpose of leaking the info? Ultimately their leaks derailed the entire process. If they kept their mouths shut, something may have actually happened.

To all the "sources":

I think its sad to think there was almost little to no real coaching search. Its not as bad as RC Slocum and Les Miles being the entirety of the coaching search, but its almost just as bad because they werent even close.

The rant is fickle brother...the furor will die down but this board will never forget. The search option makes sure of it.

My biggest issue is that the FSU mods and some old FSU Rivals posters are/were always well connected. If something was/is brewing about a recruit or a coach, and they spoke, it was coming from a solid source.

This time around, there's was nothing. Not a peep, not a shred of evidence, not a wisp of smoke on their side to corroborate the raging fire you and the other two dimwits spewed on here.

FSU insiders said the chatter indicates LSU must've targeted Fisher, but Fisher wants to remain with FSU. That's it.

Whereas, you knumbnuts said:
The deal is done,
Deal signed
Deal not signed
FSU countering
48 hr matching period was up,
Jimbo's coming cuz his kid's doctor is in Louisiana
Miles to be fired on Sunday
Miles to fired on Monday
Jimbo's plane to arrive on Monday to sign
Jimbo coming cuz he's upset over FSUs handling of rape scandal
Chip Kelly threw his name in the hat
Spurrier throws name into hat
LSU recounters
Jimbo ate three meals and took two shits.

All kinds of extraneous details, none of which has any tangible evidence. Hell, you are continuing to spew & spin the same post-deal BS even in this thread as if it were behind-the-scenes fact.

The FSU side is not even saying Fisher has a new contract out of all this. Maybe if THEY do, I MIGHT reconsider if there were some actual deal HERE in the works. Cuz I sure as shite ain't taking you or your imaginary friend's word for it.

All of this....

You people are fricking idiots. Alleva pussed out at the last minute (#rd qtr when it appeared we would beat hapless A&m) and bucked the Alumni and backed off due to negative publicity and being a wimp in general. Now his fate is tied to the success of Miles next year. (Good luck with that bitch) and they think les will change,

Btw, I called all of this Friday:

I've been following this whole ordeal closely and read this entire thread, and it reminds me VERY much of Arkansas' last coaching search and the posts on the team's main message board (Hogville). There were 1 or 2 "main" guys posting cryptic, incomplete sentence messages claiming to have sources, money figures, dates, specific names, etc. for a certain coach that everyone thought was coming.

Turns out these couple guys were 100% full of BS and it took Bielema - a name not ONE person had mentioned - being hired to finally end it. It was literally what DALSU is doing and everyone ate it up, when the few that actually had REAL sources (like myself) were being passed over because they were quietly dispelling the rumors that fell in line with what the fans wanted. The guys with connections didn't even learn of Bielema's hiring until the last minute because the athletic department, specifically Jeff Long, kept it under such tight wraps that the main 4-5 "big money" boosters (which was one of my sources) didn't even know about it until the news broke. Myself and a few others kept repeating the mantra that the main guy has not signed, it has 100% not been leaked, there are no details from "sources" because there are no details out there whatsoever, etc. and no one believed it because it didn't fall in line with what everyone was wishing for.

The search seemed to last weeks with this one single name being thrown around, even by legit news sources. Turns out it had been Bielema since day one, even before the official public-known "search" had started, and the hold up was only because of contract negotiations and giving CBB time to leave Wisconsin.

All I'm saying is to listen to those with the quietest voices not seeking the attention the most, they're usually the ones with the best idea of what's going on. People like DALSU don't have real sources, or else they wouldn't feel this need to have the attention and spotlight on them from a message board. If you have real people behind the scenes and have for a while, you do whatever it takes to keep that person trusting you and feeding you this info you can't get literally anywhere else. Period.

I totally believe you were just relaying info- good or bad- from your source. I believe your source works in admin for Georgia. The irony of all this is that a Georgia guy misinformed you about the firing of Miles but didn't tell you about the actual firing of the Georgia head coach.

I just find that...an odd coincidence. Seems like that's the biggest smokescreen in all of your conversations with him. Hmmmmm.

he claims in a thread on the rant that his buddy told him Richt would be fired after the Ga Tech game over a week ago.

If true, great. I guess it was just our admin that had leaks and problems and indecision. And in the end LSU did provide the greatest smokescreen of all for Ga. We're getting all the coverage and bad pub will they silently just fire their coach.

I have a hard time believing it, based on the way he was posting about the LSU situation, I'm not sure he could have kept the Richt deal quiet.

I don't think your source was wrong, Alleva backed out before halftime after seeing the support from the fan base..

It was the "We'll never get more than Les" poster that made Alleva rethink the whole thing.
