Crowton was the OC and QB coach, so the lack of QB play was his fault. He also recruited the guys so that was his fault as well.

As far as the WR's, I went to 3 games and guys were open consistently. I did notice in a few of the games that the WR's wouldn't run routes as hard at the end of the game if they weren't the primary WR. Maybe that is because Jeff either threw it to the #1 guy or ran.

Against Miss St, Randle could have had
many TD's. They didn't have a safety deeper than 10 yards and Randle was wide open every play deep, but Jefferson would come off his primary to throw it deep.

I don't blame Crowton as an OC. We should have a QB coach as well though. Never combine them. The playcalling was 100% hindered by Jefferson. When we had Flynn and even Hatch, the playcalling was there. Nobody calls a perfect game ever but you can't do much without Jefferson without at least 3 weeks to prepare. Ive seen it with my eyes and heard it from the players. There are many plays practiced that never get called. It's because of the confidence in the guy who executes the plays. You saw it this year with Lee. Minus a few times where we wanted to establish a running game, when he played, it was a different system. If you can't coach a player to your system, you ate forced to dumb it down to their level. Jeffersons level is really low.

I actually thought to give GC 1 more year with an accurate QB...I just dont think Jefferson has the confidence or the skill to take us to the next level..yeah he can run but hes not very accurate and not a qb that can lead a team from wins and comebacks.

Ex on the tennesee debacle when he went after the ball.....he could have atleast attpempted to grab it instead of laying on it...laying on it and its game over.

Basically agreed.

Also, a coach develops his talent or adjusts to the strengths of his players. Crowton could do neither.
Besides the overall scheme he ran (just a preference I don't like his scheme) this was my #1 problem with GC. He did not adjust his offense to benefit his players strengths. You can hide a bad qb or a weak offensive line. We had both and he exposed both.

So the FIRST last play of the TN game (mass substitution) was a decent call in your your opinion? His inability to get calls on the field before time expired is a decent call in your opinion? Three back-to-back pass plays with Jarrent Lee is a decent call in your opinion? Passing at the Ole Miss game with time expiring and need a field goal was a decent call in your opinion?

did you ever think the reason they were not able to perform was his fault? Like he didn't train them properly?

Was it JJ's fault GC kept making him drop back to pass when he is better at rollouts and play action passes? Was it the qb's fault that GC decides not to attack NC's or Auburn's weak secondaries? Was it the qb's fault he insisted on running the option or the same ten plays out of thirty or whatever it was formations? was it Lee's fault he was never allowed to play long enough to develop real chemistry with his receivers or improve his game mechanics?

I just think JJ and Jlee were effected by 08 so much that it hasnt allowed them to grow. I dont think JJ makes good decisions and is not a accurate passer...

JJ does have his strengths and GC ignores them.

What was his excuse at the other schools he was at prior to LSU? Pretty much a parallel. Success early on with decreased production each succeeding year.

Based on his qoutes in the advocate, sounds like Miles had an enormous amount of input and Crowton was never allowed to run the offense he wanted.

Crowton is a garbage coordinator and his coaching history proves it.

He should have been fired last year.

Our offense is so complicated, that after 3 years, JJ nor JL do not know what they're doing!!!! That is coaching!!!!!!

We took the #1 QB recruit in the nation, and moved him to WR, because the offense is too complicated.

Maybe Crowton is better suited for the Ivy League, but it's too complicated here!!!!!

I thought it was a great idea to open the UGA game in 2008 with Lee in a 5 WR set throwing. Who knew that would go for a pick 6!
