*IF* Miles is staying, he'll need a new OC and STC.

I'd say those two positions are absolutely obligatory.

Let's explore this: That's one.
quote:

because he was available, LSU needed an OC, he had NFL pedigree

He made a bad hire? It happens... That's 2
quote:

because he hired him as a DC

He made a bad hire? It happens... That's 3

quote:

Did you know the name of the special teams coach prior to this year?

Yep, most on here did. Why? Because he's the guy that Les hired years ago, promoted to co-DC (still lol'ing about that), Was run off from Northwestern, the rehired by Les.
He made a bad hire? It happens... That's 4 and 5

The fact that you can't see and acknowledge that pattern makes me

I was a realist, but pro Les Miles since his beginning here. 1/9/2012 absolutely shocked me. The part about refusing to try anything different. I wrote that off as "we'll never know".

This is the first year where I finally realized, it won't change. We'll get 7-11 wins per year, and no championships, forever with Les. It will always be wait until next year.

It's time.

1 and 3 are the same... so therefore they cancel each other out....

what pattern that Les missed on Steele as the DC?
That is the only one I didn't agree with at the time and puzzles me.
Cam Cameron was an NFL OC who had some good offenses in SD and Baltimore
BDP is a career special teams guy (outside of his 1 year as DC) one that has produced some good seasons at LSU

No, they're not. At all. I'll let the others here go back and read exactly and decide.

Cam as OC, Steele as DC, Orgeron as DL and not DC, BDP (twice). (and this is just very recent. I'm ignoring many others prior)

You left out canned mid season, and after he left, the team goes on to win the Super Bowl.

What????? He was a HC prior to coming back. Canned as DC by the very own Les Miles......failed miserably at the next school, then hired back by......Yep....Les Miles. He has now produced the most embarrassing ST in the country.

But continue to marginalize these hires, and then outline specifically that Les should stay because he can make major personnel shake ups, then commence to explain that the shake ups you suggest are not in fact major.

Fans loved the Cam hire
Fans loved the Coach O hire
BDP has had success as a special teams coach here before

week 12 is not midseason....

what he is a career special teams guy, that is all he has pretty much done at LSU. when we hired him in 05 he coached Special teams, in 07 he did the DC thing was fired, came back to LSU as a Special teams guy. I am aware he was a HC at a shitty school and had a shitty record, he was also a DC prior to coming to LSU as a special teams guy. The guy has been a special teams coach most of his career....LSU, Arkansas, Kentucky, Southern Miss, Stephen F. Austin.

So that makes them good hires??? Because the fans loved them? Bwahahahahaha.

This is what you originally said.

This does not equal what you originally said, at all.

In retrospect you could say no, Cam and O have both proven themselves before they got to LSU though. So they were not unreasonable hires like Steele was. I think O needs another year though, unless he is just looking to parlay this into a HC job.

End of Season.... Midseason would be middle of the year, like week 8

Didn't think I needed to clarify his entire coaching career, thought we had an understanding that he was a shitty HC at a shitty school after he left here.

Then why don´t you stop posting. You sound like a first year law student with your endless need to directly engage with every single minute point that someone mentions. The beauty of this thread is that for so long it has been focused on the "How" of Miles being fired/replaced and not getting bogged down on the "Why". There are plenty of threads where your narcissism will fit right in. Maybe you could play in that sandbox?
