I think with the right PR team, (think Pomansky Binder) he could have success here. He wouldn't be overseeing the entire program, just the offense. Go ahead downvote away...

quote:

Stephenville-based lawyer Ernest Cannon represented Briles in a contract mediation with Baylor, but no longer represents the fired coach. He says investigators had access to 8 1/2 years’ worth of Briles’ emails and text messages yet found no evidence of mishandling of a sexual assault or anything the coach would be embarrassed about. “Art Briles never covered up a sexual assault, Art Briles never met with a victim. Art Briles never shamed a victim,” Cannon said. All of the university sources we spoke with said they’ve never seen any evidence Briles handled a sexual assault case improperly. And despite a widely reported story, sources told KWTX Briles never failed to show up to meet with a victim who’s suing the school.

He's a shady POS. Peterson warned him about a player, he lied about it and Peterson had to publicly call him out. He doesn't deserved to be on a college campus, in any fashion.

Yeah he pretty much is. There is more than enough smoke based on findings of the Pepper-Hamilton report and his OWN WORDS that I want no part of the guy.

Do we want an OC or a public relations nightmare? Wake up, Briles WILL NOT coach at ANY major college.

Just that he wasn't hands on enough. He wouldn't have that same responsibility here...

If these things had happened under his watch 15-20 years ago when he was a young, green coach, it'd be one thing. We can find a more than competent OC out there that doesn't present a huge moral and public relations hazard to the team and the university at large

At best that's a he said, he said tit for tat... the document referred to in the article shows that he would be eligible to return to Boise, so I question Petersen's statement.

Lol. You want Briles at LSU and question Petersen as a liar. I have no reason to trust your moral compass.

You're trusting lawyers that protected Briles as a reputable source to bring him in to LSU. Canada would be so much better for LSU than Briles.

Not arguing that, just saying Briles isn't as tainted as some believe.

The same people that rail against Briles are the ones that are perfectly o.k. with hiring Kiffin, Petrino, or Sark. Grown men that bed co-eds or run around drunk are o.k.?? Everyone thought Saban hiring Kiffin was going to be a train wreck, well, it certainly didn't turn out that way. From talking to people that are personal friends with Briles and close to the situation, this was blown way out of proportion regarding his involvement. Let's not forget, these same people that don't want Briles screamed for Leach to be here as well. The double standard is laughable, and there are not really any concrete facts to accuse Briles, just circumstance and hearsay.

If that's the case he would have already had a job. Cleveland was crucified in the media for just bringing him in as a temp. Consultant

Briles wouldn't hurt recruiting. If anything he might could help it. LSU is starving for an offensive minded philosophy.

This isn't a girls gymnastics team he's recruiting. It's grown arse men football.

Could bring Stidham. Could develop Brennan. Could fix our QB problem.

People are afraid of what?? A bad public response? Espn and all the networks hate us anyway. Nobody cares about Louisiana, they all think we are trash anyway, which we aren't...

Hire Briles. End this nonsense

Houston put out a press release that they were not interviewing him. Briles is the most toxic name in football right now.
