Brando is full of shite. LSU is willing to pay top dollar for a head coach and top dollar for assistant coaches. Houston and FSU aren't willing to do that

Pretty much said what we already know. BOS and TAF think just because they're powerful and write big checks that they know everything about football. Said TAF, BOS and the political climate don't make it a desirable job. Plus, said what we all think is who would want Alleva as their boss?

Brando makes the rounds to local SEC area radio stations saying what they want him to say.
Thats how he makes money nowadays.
He will probably be on the local Mississippi stations next saying the same things. He was in Alabama yesterday.
He has been doing this for a few years since he got burned by LSU and cant get a national job anymore.
It is quite pathetic, but hey....a guy's got to make money.

Brando doesn't know shite, That's why CBS basically canned his arse and he's now doing play by play for Fox SW HOU. The man was at one time a respected journalist but became a Hack a long time ago. I wouldnt' believe a single word he says.

So basically dude gets on the radio and says things that everyone knows:
Herman will stay at Houston if they go to the Big 12. Duh.
Jimbo Fisher is conventional wisdom "wishful thinking"
But heres the thing...
The Big 12 expanding is not simple. It may simply not happen this year. There is a lot to that. If it doesnt then the likelihood of Herman leaving is pretty high. The LSU job is a great fit for him and there won't be a better job come open soon except maybe UT...but who knows on that. If the Big 12 doesnt expand and the UT does not come open...LSU is the best job and he almost has to take it if he wants to advance.
On Jimbo - If he wants to leave it will be a surprise to a lot of folks because it won't be about money. It will be because he wants the LSU job. That is a hard thing to guess on if its true. I believe completely that he would be our coach right now if we had fired Miles last season.

i always wondered the same thing. jimbo isn't coming to baton rouge. may as well get saban or harbaugh.
last year would've been the perfect time to get herman. now if houston gets into the b12 or makes the playoff, he's not gonna leave houston.
i still think we get herman given their chances of b12 membership and going to the playoffs, but still would've been a better time to do it.
