Brando Says Herman and Jimbo are Pipe Dreams for LSU

Just said it on local Arkansas radio. He says Herman has All the leverage and if Houston goes big 12 he ain't leaving.
Also said Jimbo and Sexton made LSU look like fools last year because they knew LSU did not have a backup plan.
He pointed to LSU's troubled power structure and Alleva being a "puppet". He went on and said even having Art Briles somewhat linked to the job simply shows how out of touch they are given today's political climate.
There is no link now but there will be one later and I will post, it was pretty fascinating how candid he was.

easy for him to say.
he's pretty much anti-LSU. long story but he's had it in for LSU for awhile and was not at all happy when he didn't get the job as voice of the Tigers. he really haves our AD and Pres. and seems to be out to damage LSU pretty much every day.

Brando did call Les getting fired after Auburn weeks before it happened. Maybe he knows something the average fan doesn't.
And frankly nothing he said if that is everything is that crazy, just a little controversial.

Why would Jimbo leave FSU?? He has it made there.....if LSU comes calling, FSU will pay him one dollar more to keep him.

Brando said all of this on Finebaum yesterday, too. He is in full ax-grinding mode.
I never figured Tim to be so ignorant to keep saying this without also saying that it is now highly-unlikely the Big 12 will take UH.
Some rumor gets floated about a guy who will be linked to every open job this year, and Tim thinks that's on LSU's leadership?

He's mostly right. Jimbo is out of the question IMO. Herman is just in a situation where its going to be difficult to talk.

Tim Brando doesn't even know how to change a tire(swear it's a true story, my FIL is good friends with him and was in his wedding), yet you think he knows what's going on with LSU's coaching search???
He's bad mouthed King, Alleva and anyone else he could since the Jimbo situation last year. He's on his last leg and he knows it, and he's just trying to squeeze a little more money out of whoever he can.

The only thing that connects Brando to LSU is that he resides in the same state as the university and did radio broadcasts for the basketball teams in the early 80's.
He didn't even attend LSU. His finger is on the pulse of the program about as much as Billy Joe from Bumfuk's.
