Griese just stated why would anyone leave the SEC for the Big 10. He went on to list reasons.

Yeah Zook got a raw deal, but he didnt leave he was run out. Difference between force and a choice.

Zook will tell you real quick it is easier to win playing a big 10 schedule.

Zook's going to have more fun up there. It'll be a lot easier. he knows how to recruit and he knows speed kills.

So is Griese no longer a Michigan man because he spoke his mind?

If I was a coach, I'd rather play a one game schedule than play in the SEC. This is why I felt Miles would leave in the first place.

Why battle 4 National Champ coaches, not to mention Tubby and Richt, when you can go up against a bunch of no-names every week.

Bob Griese in not a Michigan man, his son is, but not him. I believe he played college ball at Purdue.

Griese went to Purdue and his son played for Michigan.

EDIT-

NM, poster ahead of me made it a moot point by pointing out Griese is a Boilermaker.

If you are a coach and want to compete against the best coaches in the country go to the SEC. If you are in your golden years and tired of the competition go to the Big 10 or ACC
