LSU and it's not close. I don't get the Texas is the best job in the country crap. Texas has really one exceptional season in 50 years and that was because Vince Young single handily won games for them. They "claim" 3 titles or whatever in the sixties, but Bama probably claims the same 3 years.

Texas WAS a great job, but LSU IS a great job. Better recruiting base, better stadium, better conference, better fan base(one that cares), and plenty of money. Texas isn't the only school that can come up with the $$$.

Texas is really just an average program. LSU is a great program.

Continuing to prove we have the most unrealistic fanbase in the country.

They both have things that are better than what the other school can provide. This is a subjective argument and a dumb one to have unless you're going to be the next coach. Put this shite to rest

LSU without a doubt. Recruiting base, Atmosphere, food, nuff said. Texas is just a traditional power that's holding on to the old days

Historically its Texas. You're naive if you say anything else.

Now, in 2016 with the current snapshot of college football, LSU has a very legitimate arguement of being a more attractive destination.

I want a solid argument for why Texas is the better job.
None of the "easier path to the playoff" crap. All of the Big 12 teams are average and end up losing to each other. One loss in Big 12 and you're out. SEC you can lose 1 maybe 2 and win Conf then get into playoff.

UT Austin is a Globally regarded and produces a surprising amount of CEO's and such comparable to Ivy League schools. Not to mention it's in downtown Austin with some of the finest trim you could feast your eyes on.(not saying we have it bad or anything) If a good coach got their hands on Texas resources the sky is the limit.... Mack Brown won a title there that's all you need to know

Did you really just suggest that "food" factors into this type of discussion? How fat are you?

None of that makes it a better job. Les Mile won a title at LSU. Vince Young won a title at Texas. If you want to start talking CEOs and all that Princeton and Harvard should be considered in the mix.
