Why do I believe all of that??? Nick to Texas is still alive. Coaching changes board may be exploding on January 3rd.

ETA: Chicken, on the SECRant last night I was paid the highest compliment. A gump poster, nc14, accused me of being "a Chicken alter." Of course he also said you're a lunatic, so I'm not sure he meant it as praise.

As for the "alledged" comment by a UA Booster after the game vs Auburn.... I have to call bullschit. If a negative comment was made, especially directed at Saban, it would have become public almost immediately.

If you mean "immediately," it was. Twitter lit up over it.

I could see someone saying, "Boy, we need to go find a kicker..." and Nick taking offense to that...

I am still not sure what to think of this. Saban's credibility would be laughable if he left.

I disagree completely. There was NO opening when he agreed to the extension with Alabama and there is no buyout there, meaning that Alabama knows he can walk at any time. Also, he has been at Alabama for 7 years and has brought them 2 national championships and a mulligan "championship***" and 2 SEC titles. He has done well.

When he said he was staying at Alabama, there was no Texas opening and no job to turn down and no contract for $10 million per year. None of that. All of that changes things. I think that people would understand that.

All of that is very different from what he said at Miami, in my opinion.

you say that as if Saban was in a vacuum and unaware of what was going on...couple that with his words on the 60 Minutes interview when he said he regretted what he said before he left Miami...

Saban to Texas on Jan 2nd or 3rd is strategically timed to take all of the press and momentum away from LSU's massive committs day.

Book it.

Saban is still LSUssessed.

Saban is second only to Obama for having mastered the art of plausible deniability.

ETA: Just look at this quote by Saban yesterday when asked if his "representatives" had been in contact with Texas:
quote:

''I think I've already made a reaction to that,'' Saban said. ''Don't you watch ESPN? Didn't you see what they put down across the bottom line. That's my reaction to it. ''I don't have any more reactions to it."
