The others were great offensive minds who had ties to Texas for recruiting. BB has none of that.

I think he might turn out to be a decent SEC coach. Loves to run the football and play strong defense. Knows how to use the quarterback when he has a decent one (i.e.Russell Wilson). He will need to hire a strong staff to help him recruit head-to-head with the SEC powers, as well as Texas and Oklahoma.

This is exactly why I think he could do great things at Arkansas. Who CARES that they're losing the high-flying offense? That wasn't helping them win the conference.

He's the opposite, he's known as one of the biggest assholes in college football. Arky needed another BP, arky doesn't have the horses to line up man to man and play smash mouth with LSU and Bama.

Arkansas is never gonna out recruit the sec anyways. Bb was winning with poverty two and three star players and I realize that's in the big ten but I think he will still do well

Three straight rose bowls by going through big 10 competition. This will not end well.

Wisconsin's relatively modest facilities might also have been an issue for Bielema – a problem he will not encounter at Arkansas.

Arkansas for sure has very nice facilities. The question I have is what do teams in the B1G spend their money on? Because it sure ain't on facilities.

Edit: Forgot to add, grats to Arkansas on the quality hire!

you get a 7-5 Big Ten coach

68-24 at Wisky. Won 10+ games 4 out of 7 years. Record speaks for itself. I am interested in the hire. He will definitely have to hire guys that know how to recruit the south because he doesn't have experience doing that. He is a good coach though and I like his brand of football. It will take him at least 2 years to change Arky to the pound it attack he wants though.

I think Bret Bielema is a good coach but their are some concerns with him.He took over Wisconsin after a 10-3 year and now he takes an Arkansas job that comes off a 4-8 year losing a lot of starters. His career coaching record is a very good 68-24 but that conference has been weak in his time there. He is not a good recruiter.I don't think Arkansas has the type of players in the SEC that they will need to line up and over power teams like he did at Wisconsin.I just think this is a good coach not matching what that school needs(Rich Rod Michigan).

I don't think it's such a bad hire, it's just that it's such a, well, you know, a hire. Kind of disappointing based upon all the Arky talk lately,

It is going to interesting to see if he tries to line up and run against Bama and LSU, and to see the type of recruits he gets.

They did. How do you think he got that extension today?
