Is chavis going to the NFL? Unless the aggies are jumping leagues and by leagues I'm not talking conferences?
Are you assuming Smith wants to be a dc in the NFL and are implying that LSU would get him there more so than Arkansas?

I'm not worried about Smith this year. He and Bert are boys, it would be smart for him to stick around one place to show other places what he's really capable of given some time. He aspires to be a HC and he will be in a few years. The Chief has no such aspirations. He's a DC for life. There's no doubt we'll give Smith a huge raise, especially now that Shannon is gone and freed up a few extra 100k. I don't think he's headed anywhere.

I don't know why somebody would say that, they've never worked together except for the last two years. We knew he would only last 2-3 years here.

Looks like we will lose plenty Junior Defense of players now that the chief is leaving. This program in my opinion will be down for another 2 years or more unless we bring in a big time name as our new DC. Someone should be fired!

Whoever said that had no idea what they were saying. Bert didn't even know Shannon before hiring him. Bert and Smith used to be roommates.
