If we had so many great people interested no way Orgeron would have been a serious candidate. It's likely Fisher is the only real home run hire. After that are a bunch of guys that have potential but it's still a gamble. That said I am still very happy Miles got fired and LSU will have a new direction.

Regardless of who we have interested in the job, O was a serious candidate. Now he's not thank god.
ETA: This statement basically says he's done. Hopefully Alleva was just trying to calm the pro O people down.

That's not true. There was no indication from the administration that O was anymore than filler. It was the fans that got swept in the emotion of what he was doing that were calling for him to be hired.
