Hearing Tubs is out at Cinci & Johnson out at Tulane
Hearing more and more that Strong actually might end up at Miami and that UH coach Tom Herman is the option that Texas wants. Herman spent 10 years (98-08) as a college coach in the state of Texas so he has a lot of connections. His recruiting at UH was already taking off before UH started that streak of wins.
No link. Deal with it.

Interesting. All of those moves would make good sense.

Talked to a buddy. Said Tulane staff seems to be preparing to be let go. A couple recruits have already started opening their options back up.

G5 prospects dropping their commitments?
Sounds like a bunch of kids are about to get SC offers...

Tulane should hire Les Miles

I actually think that would be a lights out hire for them. If he could get enough physical players and a solid DC, he could wreck shop in the AAC. Just look at what Navy and Temple are doing. Those teams are not used to getting hit, especially on offense. It's all finesse ball.

Hearing Tulane can announce a new AD and new HC as soon as the first week of December if not sooner.
Word is Tulane's second in charge who applied for the AD position has already started narrowing down a list of coaches and regardless of who gets the job as AD, Tulane will be very aggressive. The new athletics board is watching what UH and Memphis are doing. Who knows if Rich Rod and Leach were ever really going to take the Tulane job (both did come to NOLA to meet with Tulane reps) but Tulane realizes they have to be way more aggressive and not let top candidates they like say NO because of money being the issue.
It looks like in house second in charge and the Baylor second in charge are the clear and distinct leaders for the job right now.

Good Tulane needs to get rid of him

Yea, he's been terrible. Originally he was doing an ok job, after 2013 he stopped bringing in transfers like Chris Davenport and Tyler Gilbert and he did a terrible job replacing coaches that left his original staff. He legitimately didn't even try with the new coaches he hired

CJ and Tulane have fallen off a cliff the last 2 seasons.
2012 - 2-10 1st year eh what can you expect its Tulane
2013 - 7-5 and a bowl game. Hey they might be turning it around
2014 - 3 - 9. Moved up in conference, new qb and injuries. It was not good but not a disaster
2015 - I don't thing disaster is a strong enough word to describe it.

What would a Tulane hot board look like? I honestly have no idea.
Mario Cristobal? Hell, Derek Dooley?
Tony Franklin?

Any number of sunbelt coaches or coordinators, Mac or cusa coach, if we come up with the dough, which I believe we will.

From who? Just because there are lots of people repeating the same source, doesn't make it more true.
Charlie Strong is staying put iMO.

Yea fricking right. Both coaches, in Power 5 leagues are looking to go to FRICKING Tulane to play in the AAC and make less money? GTFO.

Smartass, the info was a reference to a few years ago when Tulane hired Curtis Johnson. Prior to settling on Johnson both Leach and Rod were on campus meeting with Tulane admins. Everyone knows that.

He's a good coach and doesn't seem to get enough credit.

I saw Clark was connected with Memphis when fuente leaves.
