what does UH have to do with Big 12 expansion? the Big 12 isn't taking Houston; they bring absolutely nothing to the table.

With BYU or Boise they bring a conference championship game to the table.

Houston brings nothing to the big XII

BYU isn't going to leave the gold mine they have

SMU brings more and they're getting nothing either.

Big XII isn't going to expand for football only, they've said it a billion times but people don't listen.

They bring a pretty damn good resume.

LINK

But I know it's essential the Big 12 adds the massive Cincinnati market.

They would join the Big 12 today if asked. They have been openly seeking a conference affiliation for 3 years now.

Have not heard anything, but it would not surprise me if they tried to make a big splash hire.

You really don't get it I'm convinced now. But keep being myopic and ignorant.

BYU went Indy 3 years ago and they are in complete control they're sitting pretty.

Want me to list the reasons why SMU is a better get? And remember they're not going to get an invite due to no baseball.

1. Better academics
2. More money
3. Better facilities
4. More political clout
5. Better support system and Olympic Sports

Coog High building a new stadium is nice but the rest of the facilities are garbage. They have horrid academics. They are step brother and don't get along with Texas or Tech.

I guess you missed the big stink couple years ago when Coog High tried to pull a fast one and Texas refuses to play them anymore.

Ah, yes, just what the Big 12 needs: another private school in North Texas with a student body of about 10,000. SMU doesn't bring much potential fan-wise. UofH has 40,000+ students and obviously tons of alumni in Houston who would fill that 40,000-seat stadium regularly in a decent conference.

SMU having money means nothing when 1) they hire guys like June Jones and 2) they have a history of using in slush funds for football players.

As for UofH having "horrid" academics, you're showing your ignorance. It's not a great school, but it's essentially as good as Tech or Okie State. Great law school. Major research institution. Becoming more selective. My guess is your perception of UofH's academics is as outdated as your perception of SMU's football prowess.

And yes, Texas was mad about something that happened in a stadium that no longer exists.

Baylor told A&M we were breaking up the group of public Texas universities by leaving for the SEC, so I'm sure they'll stump for Houston to get into the Big 12.

Slush funds for players was invented at Coog High. I guess you don't know about Yoeman or Jenkins?

Houston is not like oSu for certain
oSu is better academically.
Facilities are terrible at Coog High.

And Texas will never play them again due to it.

Deflection? Coog High was put on probation twice for slush funds out of coaches desks. SMU got shut down, so. But Coog High keeps trying it.

Hiring Jones was a great move, extending him after the last bowl, no.

Texas came out and said it multiple times because Coog High reneged on a contract.

I think the conference branches away from Texas for expansion. The market there is well covered. BYU would jump at the opportunity, but the Big XII would have to agree not to play any of their games Sunday. I could see something eastward, maybe UCF or Cincinnati to expand the footprint into areas with adequate media exposure. Boise would be nice for football, but that would be a move ONLY for football, and they don't seem keen on that.

Another private school in the Dallas Metroplex.....NO WAY THIS HAPPENS. But this one delusional SMU fan swears it will because of cash on hand. The Cash could not keep them from getting the death penalty, but will help with this? Got it, thanks. Now go hire another coach from Hawaii, or Alaska, or somewhere.
