Sources say #PennState coach Bob Shoop was not offered the #LSU job in meeting w/Miles but wasn't ruled out. Update - LINK

He was not offered, and he was never going to be offered on Wednesday.
That was the first time Miles has ever talked about football with him. Of fricking course he wasn't going to offer him right there on the spot.
Miles was never going into that interview to offer Shoop the job.

Or it could just mean PSU jumped in to give him a raise before LSU could extend the offer. Either way, it's a shite show for LSU right now.

He wasn't going to know him after a 2-hour interview.
It would have been foolish for Miles to offer Shoop the job without more due diligence, I'll back Miles on that.
But Miles has still dropped the ball on this search so far.

Well if halfway thru the interview you realize he has zero interest in leaving, you shake hands and walk out. You don't offer if you don't think he'd consider.
