Negatigers eating lots of Crow today

Let the cards play out and quit showing your hand early. Les Miles is a genius after all. Just yesterday, and you know who you are, people were pissed over the DC hire. Glad to see their attitudes changes within 24 hours. The excitement of Coach O trumps the negatiger's attitude yesterday over the Steele hire. Either way, I was still very excited yesterday and even more excited today. Let's move forward and support the new additions to the staff. Remember, they are on our side now.

Steele is a terrible DC.
Who is eating crow?
Ed Orgeron relieves some burn because our DL could use some energy and he is a great recruiter, but Kevin Steele is still a failure at DC at every stop.

Based on what?
Sunshine Pumpers were throwing out big time current DC names, including current NFL DC's and Kirby Smart. In reality, our new DC is a good recruiter who has a terrible track record as the man calling the shots. In other words - the negatigers were right.
A great defensive line coach hire doesnt change that.

Kirby Smart is not the man for the job here period. He is being groomed to be a head coach. Saban would go to Steele on advice for defensive schemes. read about it, there are lots information on Steele's relationship with Steele and what he brings to a program. You won't find much on Smart.

If he is so great, why did it take two weeks to lock him up? And why did we chase Shoop and others across the country.
Negatigers melted because everybody acted like we were waiting for somebody huge to finish his season and then we wound up settling for a name on the original list that everybody moved on from 10 days ago.

Did I say he would be better than Coach O? Nope. Yea I was against the hire for Shoop from day one. I got my wish and if it does not work out well then I will be the one eating crow. Until then, I got what I wanted at the end of the day. Just got off the phone with a former guy who was coached by Coach O and knows the coaching career of Steele and he said this is huge for LSU moving forward. We are now in position to achieve top 3 recruiting classes from here on out.

Yep. LSU is in the exact same position now as they were in 1999. No difference at all.....
