C'mon dude

Hiring O doesn't make the sting of Steele go completely away. Think of the excitement of hiring Coach Cam, only to tell him Jennings is his QB

One thing doesn't automatically fix the other

I hope Steele explains to Les how easy it was to defend against his offensive play calling. Then I will be ecstatic, if it creates a better offense.

Let the cards play out and quit showing your hand early. Les Miles is a genius after all. Just yesterday, and you know who you are, people were pissed over the DC hire. Glad to see their attitudes changes within 24 hours. The excitement of Coach O trumps the negatiger's attitude yesterday over the Steele hire. Either way, I was still very excited yesterday and even more excited today. Let's move forward and support the new additions to the staff. Remember, they are on our side now.

You do understand that you expect people to eat crow because Les possibly made a defensive coordinator hire that could keep our defense at last year's level and may improve somewhat neither of which will give us 4 les losses or rank our offense anywhere in the top ten of the SEC. Yea buddy, I'm ashamed at the crow that the genius Les Miles has forced me to eat... grow the frick up dude

...You/we don't "know" anything about what/why Steele was ("failure") , is , or will be at LSU , b/c you/we don't "know" anything about the circumstances he was coaching under ( players , admin input , head coach input , internal relations, short leash/long leash etc etc etc ) or exactly why things were what they were whenever he was where he was ... Coaches coach at different places and get varying results. Coaches "evolve". Some seem to get better , some taper off... that being said , you/we don't "know" what will happen here. Lets hope KS will work out well ..He has plenty experience under some great programs , and the other coaches speak very highly of him, and he is known as very hard worker and super recruiter. What the hell do we want ?

So , did you get/understand all that ? Yes/no ?

I view them as separate storylines. I'm pissed at the Steele hire and cautiously optimistic about Coach O.

Yea I was against the hire for Shoop from day one. I got my wish and if it does not work out well then I will be the one eating crow.

You oversimplify the situation. "If it does not work out well then" LSU will be a dumpster fire. The program will be in shambles and you will still be stupid. That's what you should have said.

Kevin Steele is still a failure at DC at every stop.
Ok. I'll let everyone know that Steele gets no chance to succeed in Tigerland and might as well just hang it up now. Thanks for the heads up.

The Saban was terrible when we hired him argument is hilarious.

I don't believe he was terrible and he did have a 10-2 season the year he was hired. However, the seasons that preceded this one though were 6-6, 6-5-1, and 6-6 which cannot be ignored.

What if LSU used this at the time to eliminate him from their decision? We might not have any National Championships in the cupboard.

There's a lot more that goes into these hires than just what's on the surface.

This makes no sense. For one thing, he was coming directly from a head coaching position. Also, before he got to MSU, MSU had not had a winning season since 1990, and the team was sanctioned by the NCAA for recruiting violations committed under his predecessor.

Again, decent results with lesser resources means something. It's why he was hired in the first place.

Les Miles's days at LSU are numbered now, and the Pumpers will be proven to be fools.

It's not " Negatigers" dammit it's NegaMiles. While you are busy crowing don't forget we still have a shitty offense and nothing is being done about that. The only people that will be eating crow will be Miles sunshine pumpers when this piss poor offense continues the decline next season.
