I typically juggle 2 at a time. One as an ebook and the other as an audiobook.

2. I always struggle to read more than 1 book at a time. My second book is a personal finance book, and I typically only read a chapter or 2 in between trying to find a new primary book. I can't handle 2 books with plots at the same time.

One. I don't usually read more than one at a time. Except that I typically get four or five books on a trip to the library and sample the beginning of each of them to decide which one or two I'm gonna read (in sequence, not at the same time) and then bring the rest back the next day or so.

Wtf would you read more than one book at once, unless it's reading for entertainment vs. education

Definitely entertainment. Serves as good downtime. Reading a physical book is harder though. Less time to devote on sitting still.

I actually love reading multiple books at a time. Keeps it fresh for me. I read a lot of non-fiction, so I don't have to track too many characters and plot lines. Currently reading 4 books.

I'm normally reading two at a time. One for fun that I'll read quickly. The other is usually something educational and takes some time to absorb so I read it much slower. Occasionally I'll throw in a third more philosophical book that only requires a short read each day.

I've usually got 3 going.

Paper book on the nightstand.

Audiobook on the phone for driving.

Kindle book for reading other times like flights, Dr. office, etc. Usually I pull up Infinite Jest on it since Kindle is great for the footnotes and it's a great book to revisit for short periods. So Infinite Jest is in a sort of infinite loop which is fitting for anyone who knows the structure of the book.

Currently reading Ernie Banks: Mr. Cub and the Summer of '69 as my main book, and then chugging through some comics in the interim.

This is why I love whispersync with Kindle and Audible. I buy the kindle version of the book, add the audible version for a couple bucks more...and just switch between reading on Kindle app/listening to audible. I will only do that with books at least 400 pages in length though.

I am reading 2 books right now. One fiction, one nonfiction.

Anyone that cannot understand why someone would want to read more than one book at a time....should take that as a cue they maybe don't belong on the book board #readingisawesome

Thinking Fast and Slow (2nd time)
4 Hour Body

On deck
4 hour chef
Art of War

I try to have one kindle and hard back at the same time. I like having a book on my phone to read at lunch and in waiting rooms.

Four, but I'm not married and have no kids. I'm off for the summer, and they're all vastly different genres.

My OCD wouldn't let me start another book until I finish the first book I started reading.

I'm juggling three at the moment. Ended up with a real book for the beach, still trying to wrap up the audiobook I started about two weeks ago and the kindle book that I have. I have another kindle book waiting in the wings along with another audiobook. The books are stalking me!

I'm not sure I'm loving the book book. I've been reading it largely off and a little on for the last year. Finally made headway this weekend, but it is way more emotionally dramatic than I'm a fan of...very flowery and full of "feelings"....so not my style.

I'm trying to power through the audiobook, but good gracious it is long winded. Good book, but at least 100 pages too long (usually my biggest complaint about books.)

Lastly, kindle book is A Confederacy of Dunces. I couldn't help myself. Though, I remember why I hated it in college...I want to smack Ignatius.
