duh I don't mind when you shoot my theories down either! I just want this thing to go 100

Let me just ask some questions for the fun of it.

Some people like to think Arya and Gendry would be a great couple

Does Arya end up with him, or anyone for that matter?

Who is the most loved character that will die and how?

When I shoot theories down I don't mean it to come across as me saying you're wrong, I just look for other sides of the token.

To be honest that is one thing I don't care about at all. The only ship alliance I have is that I am 110% anti-Dany/Jon.

Barristan Selmy will definitely die and that will break my fricking heart I just hope (and honestly believe) that it will be in a way that is as great as the man he has been.

I think Arya stands a very good chance of being Nissa Nissa and if thats the case then that will probably be the saddest moment of the book.

Jaime will die. Although I don't think it will be so much sad as it will be vindicated. Jaime's death won't make us angry like the red wedding or sad like Ned's. We'll be proud and accepting of Jaime Lannister at the time.

Samwell Tarly. I don't think he makes it. I think he will do something incredibly brave (and be pissing his pants the whole time remember "can you be brave when you're scared" bran asked, "Thats the only time a man can be brave") and I think that has the potential to be the most heart wrenching death of the series. Especially if it happens in front of Jon.

I think Sam makes it! I agree with everything you say. I just think he's been so helpless he won't die. No one has been so helpless, and you feel sorry for them, and they die. Unless, again, you can shoot that down

Its just everytime I think of Sam I go back to Bran's first chapter in GOT. He is talking to Ned about Gared (the man of the Night's Watch from the intro that Ned had just killed) and he is talking about how Robb thought he died bravely but Jon saw fear in the man's eyes. Bran then asks Ned if a man can be brave if hes scared and Ned responds that thats the only time a man can be brave.

I feel like GRRM is setting up Sam's, a character that is half a book from being introduced, death already. Everything about that passage speaks of Sam to me and they are referring to a dead man. I personally wouldn't bet on Sam to survive but hell I wouldn't have bet on ULM against Arkansas either so who knows.

I'm in Auburn right now and people have been freaking out bout ULM the whole week, much less LSU. I keep telling my workers that the SEC is expanding and ULM is going to the west and Aubbie has to go to the ease

Is something really in the damn tapestries?

Is Jon's raven more than it seems?

Is all of Dorne gonna dominate the next 2 books?

Is Jaime gonna die in an awesome battle or right next to Cersei?

How big of a player will Rickon be?

Is Davos goin to live all the way through and will he be a gigantic player like I think/hope him to be?

Will Bran over take Bloodraven?

Will Dany be the only one who is in control of Dragons?

Will Sansa kill Littlefinger?

Will Varys end up being a Targ/Blackfyre?

Who, at some point will kill Robert Strong?

shite I got 1000 of em

will WOW be out before 2014?

IN the tapestries? I don't think so... Littlefinger is too smart for that I think something is ON the tapestries. What? I don't know.

quote:

I think Bloodraven has been warging into it for years to keep his eyes on the Night's Watch and to possibly steer the opinions of Lord Commanders. I think this allows himself to believe he never deserted since he was always looking out for his brothers. I think Bran is now taking over that role.

quote:

They certainly have the potential too. If Dany, The Iron Fleet, Dragons, Aegon and The Golden Company, AND a dothraki horde strike an alliance to sit Aegon and Dany on the Iron throne.....

The kingdom as it stands now would have no chance. Every province other than the Vale and Dorne is utterly devastated and Dorne is allying with the invaders. Add in to that Dany will win the love of the small folk cause think, Winter has arrived and everyones food stores are bare. Barely enough to last a year much less the decade or so that this winter is expected to last. Yet Dany and Aegon just so happens to be close friends with one of the largest (no pun intended) merchants in Braavos, Illyrio. A man who has the power to feed the whole seven kingdoms for a winter.

quote:

Is Jaime gonna die in an awesome battle or right next to Cersei?

Jaime will kill Cersei. Thats all I'm really sure of at this point.

quote:

How big of a player will Rickon be?

There must always be a Stark in Winterfell. Rickon won't be a player so much as what his presence will mean for the north. His very existence will unveil the lies of House Bolton and every northern house will flock to, who they believe to be, the last remaining Stark.

quote:

Is Davos goin to live all the way through and will he be a gigantic player like I think/hope him to be?

I think after Davos delivers Rickon home then his purpose will be served. So I think he will wind up dead, probably while defending Rickon giving him time to escape.

quote:

Will Bran over take Bloodraven?

Imo and most disagree with me but I think Bran is on a very dark and dangerous road. I don't think the children and bloodraven are "good". They were both drove from their homes and now they are vengeful. Bloodraven is dying and he needs Bran to continue his work, to carry out his legacy and assault Westeros in his name. Now whether Bran takes that path and becomes "The Great Other" or he shakes the temptation and becomes a force for the good who knows.

quote:

Will Dany be the only one who is in control of Dragons?

The dragon must have three heads

quote:

Will Sansa kill Littlefinger?

Will her hands actually kill him? No. Will she be his downfall? Most certainly, she is afterall a Stark who is learning the Game from one of its masters. Just think what Ned or Robb could've done if they would've had Littlefinger's abilities...

quote:

Will Varys end up being a Targ/Blackfyre?

I think it is a big possibility but I'm not 100% sold just yet, maybe WOW will shed more light.

quote:

Who, at some point will kill Robert Strong?

Sandor Clegane will slay him while defending The Faith.

frickING SONIC BOOOOMMMMM!

I do get laid you know hahaha. My buddies, most of them, watch the series and won't read the books and it drives me crazy. They scream spoiler alert when I walk in and don't understand that they need to read the books. All sports fans, but watching with them is hard. They ask me questions during the seasons and I gotta watch myself. Love this damn thread.

geaux 100!

GMMR says Tyrion is his fav followed by Dany and Bran. I don't see them dying, and I just can't/won't believe Bran turns bad. I do believe he's in bad shite, but I just don't see him bein bad

FWIW I agree and hope like hell we're right but I could definitely see GRRM turning a Stark bad. Remember according to Old Nan the Night King was a Stark.... A Stark named Brandon. Azor Ahai is returning maybe the Night King is too.

I think we'll definitely see a period of "bad bran" but I think he will come to his senses and redeem himself before its over. (Maybe once he realizes that bloodraven is sucking the life force from jojen)

Just finished dance, thought the pace in the first half was similar to feast, then second half Marin put the plot into gear again.
I noticed he mentions winter/winds many times through many POVs towards the end of dance.

I think the walkers/wights/Ice Spiders are going to start their war early next book.
As unthinkable as it would be, I believe the Wall comes down.
Is there back story in the side books that gives an explaination for the WWalkers?

I'm just not seeing that at this point...

No doubt Sansa will use Littlefinger as Littlefinger is using her but if Varys has Dorne, Aegon, and co... then Littlefinger will need Lannisters.

I think Cersei's reaction to an unveiled Sansa with Vale and North behind her will be telling how Sansa's story goes... I think Sansa will be party to a Cersei alliance as it will be her chance for revenge...

I don't think Sansa can be discounted as being the Nissa Nissa...
