Lets see if your employer has the sense to allow you freedom of speech like the NFL is allowing these idiots to protest the National Anthem. I suspect the pos network you work for will try and be politically correct. Best wishes Jim

More power to him. These people have no clue how many people have died for that flag and anthem!

And at 7:55 in the morning on military bases across the globe, people in uniforms scatter like ants when they hear the first call for colors...

Royal Tiger I been saying saying this since day one, I was one of them I seen E-7's thru O-7's stand by the door looking at their watch waiting on colors and retreat to play so they don't have to stand at attention.

"how many people have died for that flag and anthem" This is "supposed" to be a Christian nation yet how many millions have died in the name of this country? THOU SHALT NOT KILL and LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR is forgotten in the name of the Military Industrial Complex...$$$ is what runs this country.

Jim's 100% correct. Nothing to apologize. These guys are just classic attention whores.

So they can kneel and speak their mind but holy shite if someone else has a different view...

That's the way it works with them. Notice how they never mention than Colon Kap had a unsportsmanlike call for calling another player a "****", but that's ok for him to say

Good for Nantz.

It's fine if they want to kneel. Its also fine if people want to criticize, that's their right. I'll bet you my mortgage Nantz has to apologize for his views. Freedom of speech doesn't apply to white males. People need to get that through their head.
user avatar

So you are confused about freedom of speech. Nantz's employer has every right to restrict his speech--the government doesn't have that right.
user avatar
biglego91 months
True, but I think his point is that only white males ever have to apologize for making statements like this.

1. Of course they will do it while the cameras are rolling...what's the sense in protesting if no one is looking? 2. Why is Jim talking during anthem? these protests continues to be a story because people make it out to be a story. Nothing will come of it

I am pretty sure the network forces them to discuss it - you can tell by the inflection in announcers' voices that they don't want to talk about it but they are being forced to.

Do you people stand up when the National Anthem is playing at home, or do you sit there in your underwear continuing to eat your Cheetos like every one else? People seriously need to get over this no-issue. They're kneeling to get attention about the thing they care about. And guess what, it's working.

No, it's not working. Nobody is talking about "police brutality" because of these retards kneeling. All they are talking about is whether or not they are idiots for kneeling. That's why going about it in this way is idiotic. But they are too stupid to understand that.

And what is it they care about????

How should they go about it?

The problem is WHY they are kneeling. It has a stated reason, that is very offensive to a lot of us.

You being offended at them kneeling is literally the same thing as them being offended by statues of racist people. Everyone should just stop caring about what offends other people and move the frick on with your own life.

kapernick is kneeling because of his conversion to islam this past summer. The Anthem was completed directly after the US Marines defeated the Barbary (muslim) Coast pirates.

The rest of the NFL owners should follow Jerry Jones in what he told his players, coaches and other personnel of the Dallas Cowboys.
user avatar

You obviously are not a Saints' fan, because they would NEVER say anything positive about the Dallas Cowboys.

Do the anthem before the athletes come in the stadium....Problem solved.

This is what they used to do. It's a recent "tradition" of large patriotic displays before football games, funded by the military. There's plenty of information out there for anyone interested in researching. They're not trying to hide it.

That's how it use to be but the armed forces started paying the NFL to have this whole shindig with cameras in the players faces. Players use to be in locker room be for the Anthem. Good I idea though.

When they ask everyone to stand for the anthem, they should also say "and if you want to truly pay respect to this great country, feel free to kneel before the flag of Liberty."

I'm not offended that he kneels. I'm pissed that we give a forum and accept any support of Blm and the baseless allegations against the police in the situations they refer to. That is not the same as confederate statues some of which weren't the slightest bit racist. Ulysses Grant was a very vocal abolitionist long before the war for instance.

He has the first amendment right to criticize those who bring profanely false accusations against our country!

Idiots they are. They're free to go back to where their ancestors came from. Try Somalia, or Zimbabwe, or Chad, or any number of those African countries. The U.S.A. ain't so bad after all but groups like black lives matter and the naacp and those racists retards are Africanizing America. Eventually there'll be another Civil War.
