Damn Right Dolphins Legend Larry Csonka Had A Cigar & Drink After Steelers’ First Loss
© Douglas DeFelice-USA TODAY Sports
The Pittsburgh Steelers will not be going undefeated after their loss to the Washington Football Team last night. This means the 1972 Miami Dolphins will remain as the only perfect team in NFL history, which gives Larry Csonka, Hall of Fame fullback on that team, cause for celebration...

Eh, they played a 12 game regular season. And every time a team comes close and fails, they act like bitches that they still have the record.

You'd literally never call him or any other member of that team a bitch to their face and we all know it. Only bitches call men like that bitches anonymously on the internet.

They're poor sports which yeah, they act like bitches about it. You seem to be pretty familiar with it, Karen. Why don't you have a seat next to your boyfriend.

They played a 14 game regular season. They played 12 of 17 games with a backup QB after their HOF QB broke his ankle. Despite having the best record in the NFL had to play the AFC Championship game on the road. They beat HOF QB's Len Dawson, Fran Tarkenton and Joe Namath (all on the road) and '72 Pro Bowl QB John Hadl all within a period of 4 weeks. Their 5 year record of 64-14-1 from 1970-1974 is arguably the best 5 year stretch in NFL history.

I was fortunate my family had season tickets during the early 70's including the undefeated season. They weren't the most dominating teams but they were smart and found a way to win. Csonka was my favorite player. Back then, the fullback could be the primary ball carrier. Franco Harris, John Riggins and Earl Campbell were all basically fullbacks before teams went to single-back formations I still think Csonka is the only player to be called for a personal foul as a ball carrier. He didn't stiff arm tacklers. He used to deliver a forearm smash to their face. He once knocked a dude out doing it.

Maybe the Dolphins will never win another Super Bowl until someone goes undefeated.
