re: Do Tiger fans that use Sling TV find it to be a good option to follow LSU?
Posted by hogeb on 3/27/24 at 4:41 pm
Yeah, it’s the best sports package I could find. I’m in California, and Sling let me choose a sports package that includes the SEC network and all ESPN channels. There’s also TNT, TBS, and TruTV for the NCAA men’s tourney. It’s also cheaper than the package I had before, Vidgo, which was okay, but n...
re: Brian Kelly about defensive tackles

What I saw was his inability to predict which side of a block to pursue. He often got caught angling inside the block when the play ran to the outside....

re: LSUWire - Feldman heard speculation Brian Kelly would take the Michigan job if asked
Posted by hogeb on 1/15/24 at 3:37 pm
Kelly came to LSU because of the high bar. He wants a championship and LSU is his best route. Michigan won this year but has had a dismal record in playoff games prior to this. He is building LSU and wants to finish here. He knows LSU is closer to winning another championship than Michigan going for...
re: Don't have to "cancel" ESPN and Rivals, but you can't intelligently support their ratings.

The differences in evaluations at each of the 4 sites is an indication of how subjective they are. An industry average does not fix this variance because these are not real statistics, just different evaluator’s opinions. None of them are better than coaches, which is why offers provide better expec...
re: NIL topic, I wonder how much it cost to get Player of the Year to return to UK.

He's projected as a late 2nd round pick. He can probably make more money at UK than floating around the G League ...
re: LSU bs Kentucky tonight 7pm CT on ESPN

Here is Kentucky Sports Radio's breakdown of the Tigers. KSR does a good job scouting opponents. I think a few Tiger fans might appreciate the how challenging LSU is to play, from an opponent's perspective.

re: Why did Denbrock and Kelly separate, and why are they reuniting?
Posted by hogeb on 12/20/21 at 12:42 pm
Denbrock might have left to have full control of an offence since CBK called the plays then. CBK could be offering more control at LSU, like he has at Cincy....

re: How much do we go down by prior to putting the boot on UKs neck and grind them in the dirt
Posted by hogeb on 2/12/19 at 4:17 pm
I grew up in KY but went to college at LSU, so I still follow both teams. They are remarkably similar, actually. Both teams have a tendency to get down early and then rally in the 2nd half. Both team's strength is offensive rebounding. Both teams have point guards who force a lot of turnovers. The s...

There is no better seafood than Louisiana. I currently live in California after having lived in Louisiana and Houston the past 30 years, and I spent plenty of time in Florida growing up since my grandparents retired there. California seafood is just totally different, and while fresh and varied, is ...

This is pure science, not applied, so your question is legitimate, but your implied conclusion is extremely naive. Today's technology, including CAT scans, MRIs, nuclear medicine and radiation therapy, are all based on physics discovered over a century ago. We didn't know what the applications would...

Someone in another thread did say he had grade issues, but do we know JUCO or are we assuming JUCO?...
Does anyone know what Travez Moore's status is?
Posted by hogeb on 2/2/16 at 6:49 pm
I seem to remember that Travez Moore was "put on hold" by LSU after he "committed" because the offer was conditional, but I haven't seen anything about him looking at other schools, so I'm not sure what his status is. Is he history, or could he still be waiting in the wings?
