Installed a gas Takagi,T-K3, in my house, in 2008. Love it. Does require dedicated 3/4 in gas line. Never had problems yet. This unit does require electricity for the spark. In case of power outage, I installed a "Battery Backup", found in the computer section @ Wally World.

An agent told me that if you were born before the Hunter Ed requirement, you get the zeros. Younger licensees have their hunter ed #s....
