re: Les Miles recruiting for other LSU sports - BeBeaux
I heard this same story recently and the details make Les seem sly like a fox. Just to add to what you described, he opened the meeting with some seemingly goofy comments that made it appear he had no idea who the kid was or why he was there. It threw the tennis coaches off and they thought they h...

re: Rummel 10 Jesuit 7... FINAL - BeBeaux
Unfortunately, Rummel doesn't have much say in when they play their home games. First priority at Yenni stadium goes to the Jefferson Parish East Bank public schools, then Rummel gets what's left. This weekend it looks like Bonnabel gets Friday night, Grace King gets Saturday morning and Haynes Ac...

From the [link=(http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2013/05/do_not_publish_briana_allen_ki.html#incart_big-photo)] article[/link] about these arrests: "All these guys are so young, and their level of violence is shocking. re: Shellshocked: A Documentary About Growing Up in the Murder Capital of America - BeBeaux
This article was on [link=(http://www.nola.com/crime/index.ssf/2013/05/did_a_fathers_murder_provoke_a.html#incart_m-rpt-1)]NOLA[/link] yesterday. I think it illustrates the depth of the problem and probably is what the documentary is trying to get at. ...

re: New Archdiocese of N.O. implementation plan revealed. - BeBeaux
[quote]You keep thinking that they are not run by the archdiocese [/quote] This. Don't forget that a big driver of this study was the parish pastors at the elementary schools who have seen their male enrollments drop significantly. They are the ones who voiced the most concern regarding BM's 7t...

re: Rumor: new restaurant opening in Lakeview? - BeBeaux
My wife's cousin looked into that space a while back but the inability to get a liquor license ended that. Mondo seems to be doing well and I always thought Link would want something in his neighborhood similar to Spicer. Maybe the parking limitations are a factor but it doesn't seem to be hurting...

re: Rumor: new restaurant opening in Lakeview? - BeBeaux
I figured it wasn't Link when they didn't actually mention his name, since him living near there was an easy connection to make. Given what you know, will this place be a good fit? I live a few blocks away so I'm interested in the development going on there right now. ...

re: Rumor: new restaurant opening in Lakeview? - BeBeaux
Would this place be replacing NOLA Beans or moving across the street on the corner next to the Snap fitness? I hadn't heard about NOLA Beans closing but I thought I read a NOLA.com article recently that referenced a prominent local chef opening a spot there. Here it is [link=(http://www.nola.c...

re: Game theory and the Super Bowl - BeBeaux
If you chose the turn and run tactic, couldn't you just line a WR VERY deep in your backfield and have the QB take the snap from shotgun and turn and complete a backwards pass to the deep-set WR, who basically has a 20-30 yard head start to your own goal line? I would think every QB/WR combo in the...

[quote]I still don't understand why they parked so damn far away, or how about this.
