re: Anyone have experience watching LSU games in Europe? - cupchu1
You should be good to go. I downloaded it while already living in Paris and had no problems. So you should be able to troubleshoot in Australia should anything go wrong while you're there. I would write down your log in info though, it's annoying to recover that when there's 5 minutes until kick off...

re: Anyone have experience watching LSU games in Europe? - cupchu1
Where are you going? Some major cities have American sports bars. For smaller cities/late games, I downloaded a VPN called "Private Internet Access (PIA)". It allows you to connect to an American IP, giving you access to watchESPN. ...

re: Working in Dubai anyone have any stories? What would be some Pro's and Con's? - cupchu1
My parents have friends who were basically evacuated a month after getting transferred. The family's driver got in a wreck while bringing them around and someone got seriously hurt. Apparently under their law the foreigner is always responsible, because if the foreigner weren't there, their driver w...

Advice for Copa América tickets this summer - cupchu1
I'm in Houston, so I'm definitely looking at going to at least one of the matches here. The one that will work best for me is Colombia vs Costa Rica. I've looked at tickets and there are plenty of options, but for decent seats it'll cost a couple hundred dollars each. I feel like there is no way ...

re: SCUBA DIVERS make yourselves known - cupchu1
Jobu93 Daughter just did her first trip with us to Grand Cayman. She had her second dive EVER with a friendly nurse shark that actively followed us arround and let you pet it. I shite you not. It's the damndest thing and I've got it on video. She has no idea how rare and precious that di...

re: SCUBA DIVERS make yourselves known - cupchu1
My dad let my brother and me get certified when we turned 12. 23 now, so 11 years going. The family goes on vacation every summer to Grand Cayman, but that's the only time we go diving. I've cut back the last few times. I suck through air at a horrendous rate, even when consciously trying not to,...

re: Europe Hotels/Neighborhoods Recommendations - cupchu1
Not sure if you're willing to stay in hostels, but don't let the perception scare you
Yeah I should have emphasized this. Stay in hostels. Freebies/discounts on tourist and partying things. Easy to find people to go out with. And you might get to room with a group of Argentine fema...

re: Europe Hotels/Neighborhoods Recommendations - cupchu1
So Paris is divided into neighborhoods, or arrondissements, that are set up like a snail's shell, spiraling out from the islands. (see below) I've been out plenty of times in the 6th arrondissement near Blvd St-Germain and enjoyed myse...

re: Travel Question- London and Paris - cupchu1
3-4 days in Paris is very short, so you should definitely try to make the most of your time there. Paris is divided into 20 neighborhoods, or "arrondissements" in French. They spiral outwards like a snail's shell (see below) [img]https://villedeslumieres.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/parismap1.gif...

re: How many of y'all speak French? - cupchu1
I do. I decided to take French as my foreign language sequence at LSU and ended up making it my major. Always trying to find work where I'll get to use it, but man is that tough. My maternal grandfather's mother was the last relative of mine who grew up truly speaking French. I enjoy trying to b...

re: So I was just informed what a Diva Cup is - cupchu1
It's actually safer than tampons. Google toxic shock syndrome and you'll see why some women use this. It's also more economical, which is a huge benefit for poor areas of the world. I'm pretty sure these are sent abroad by women charities. ...

re: If you have taught in a foreign country before. - cupchu1
You're looking to pay $2,200 to teach a family English? I'd recommend not doing that. I was just part of a program that paid me about $1,000 per month for 7 months to teach 12 hours of English per week at a French high school. Other countries have similar (and less competitive) programs. Are you...
