Watched Trojans spring game highlights...

It's just a spring game but...
-As of right now, Nuss looks way more dangerous than Moss. (Better reads, ball placement, and zip on ball)
-Moss had 2 INTs. 1st was a terrible read where he thought he could fit it over a DB in underneath coverage. He did this at least 1 or 2 other times where it was batted away by DBs and a few more times in windows where better DBs would've picked it off. The 2nd INT was in the Redzone from 10yd line...a DB in tight coverage (either man or converted) DB tipped the ball and the safety was able to catch it out of the air and take it all the way for 6.
-Make no mistake though, several of their skill positions are dangerous. Saw some great catches, shifty moves, and good amount of RAC.
-Defense (finished 11 positions behind LSU in Total last year at #116) looked ok nothing impressive. 4 INTs on the day (Moss 2, Maiava 1, and Jensen 1 were more bad reads/tips than defense being dominate.
Again...it's just a spring game.
If anyone else saw it please feel free to add your observations.

How was their inside run game?

Pretty solid.
A few runs broke and a lot short yards or stuffs. They definitely were balanced and kept pounding the ball.
Baker and Davis have their work cut out BUT it seems like it's doable especially with guys coming in and some solid transfers.
Would be huge to whoop USC's arse for the opener. And if we could shore-up the run game Moss seems like the type of QB that would unravel in an opener even though they have great receivers.

They have a much better dc in D' Anton lynn than they had last year.
They got a couple nice pieces out the portal on d.

Zachariah Branch is unbelievable with the ball. A lot like Reggie bush. He’s the real deal.

No doubt we will make Moss look like a Heisman Trophy winner. Hopefully we will manage to outscore them.

The flip side is if I’m a USC fan watching LSU’s defense I’m thinking it still looks bad.
It’s spring. So overreactions a silly. But LSU’s defense didn’t look good. Most of the same below average players still look…below average.

I have PTSD from our openers since Covid
I’l be there… expecting the worst, hoping for the best, drunk and cheering for the Tigahs.
That said, give me LSU laying the points.

It will be a higher scoring game. Their defense should be slightly worse than ours, which is like comparing awful to terrible

You do realize we’ll start Major Burns and Sage Ryan -all I got

We are favored by a TD for a reason

No movies available to watch?

The USC spring game was boring. Very likely on purpose, as CLR didn't want to tip his hand. All I got out of it is "Moss is not a perfect QB" and "We have athletes on both sides of the ball". USC should be able to field a serviceable defense this season. The offensive line is still a question mark. See y'all in Vegas.

Are you saying their defense was being dominated or being dominant?

I would thoroughly enjoy rushing for 220 yards on their defense.
Not saying it will happen, but it would be a good way to open the year.

A seemingly common grammatical error these days seems to be improperly using related verbs and adjectives. Dominate vs dominant seems to be a common one here. I often see people trying to "sale" an item or listing it "for sell".
These seem like such simple things to get right grammatically. Don't even get me started on the use of the word cringe.
About the thread itself, I wouldn't put too much stock in the spring game. Neither Kelly nor Riley is likely to show a much in the spring game that is very informative in terms of game planning.

Exactly.
After three straight high-profile opening game losses, the last three seasons, there's no way LSU should be overconfident approaching this game.
