He clarified that he was talking about the reference to "Louisiana," not Robe. That, too, is dumb, but don't make this bigger than it is....

Same. Love UL a lot even though I went to LSU. Always cheer for them when they're not facing the Tigers. But the constant whining about LSU by a vocal minority of fans annoys the crap out of me, as does the serious ish-talking they do about other Louisiana schools. You hear them talking trash about ...

Most Catholic schools do not give full scholarships any more - they all require the family to contribute something - and they require work in exchange. And if Catholic High is like 99% of the Catholic schools in the state, the kids who are there on scholarship have to actually WORK in the summer. It's not like it's a college athletic scholarship where you get tuition in exchange for playing....

STM has that many players because they don't have to try out; everyone who wants to can join. Many of those are kids who will never see the field, including students in Options (the program for kids with special needs). ...
