re: Home alarm system...who do you use? - nchawg on 1/18/17 at 9:37 am
I've looked at this system a little. Seems like it gets pricey up front if you have a lot of windows/doors to monitor. Do you monitor every window of your house, or do you just use a motion sensor?
I use entry sensors on the doors leading outside. I also have entry sensors on win...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Samsung Refrigerator Repair Problem - nchawg on 1/18/17 at 7:10 am
Napoleon, I have a Samsung fridge as well. Had a lot of trouble with the ice maker/water dispenser, so I completely shut off the water supply. We have been having a problem lately where water builds up in the bottom and then leaks out onto the floor. Ideas?
I have the same or ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Home alarm system...who do you use? - nchawg on 1/18/17 at 7:01 am
Simplisafe. Used them for a few years now. No issues. Base unit is cellular (no phone line required). Sensors, keypad and sirens are all wireless and run on batteries (no AC power required except for base unit). Cost me $25 a month for the monitoring service (no contract), which is optional....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

re: Is the Waze App the most useful app on your phone? - nchawg on 8/11/16 at 9:11 am
Car on shoulder hazard can be a pain in the arse especially driving through larger cities. You can go to settings, alerts on route, and turn off "hazard on shoulder". Waze is awesome. Use it every day. Been a user for over 3 years. My points are 373,282. :pimp:...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
I'm assuming there are some cool bars downtown.
Just a few below. Lots more than this. Depends on the scene you are looking for. Some good ones off these streets too. Probably do a Yelp search to find what you are looking for. Trade Street - Silver Moon Saloon, Single Brothe...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
Go to Greensboro or the zoo in Asheboro. W-S is a dump outside of Wake Forest's campus. Seriously, don't waste your time.
This is complete crap. The downtown area has seen a lot of growth the past few years. The city has really cleaned it up and there are lots of businesses d...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Things to do in Winston Salem - nchawg on 11/9/15 at 8:36 pm
I live in Winston-Salem. I would suggest the following. - Old Salem tour would be a must - Downtown action is 4th Street and Trade Street (shops, drinks, food) - Trade Street is where most of the art shops are at, if you are into that - Foothills suggestion by others is a good one (beer great, ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Anyone live(d) in Winston-Salem? - nchawg on 10/20/15 at 12:40 pm
I currently live in Winston-Salem. The city has transitioned from textiles and Tabaco to health care, education (universities), arts and banking. Population is slightly over 200K. Downtown area is undergoing a resurgence. Cigarette factories now converted to lofts. Lots of major projects down...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Does diversity trump ability? - nchawg on 7/17/15 at 9:54 am
I work for a very large company that trumpets diversity. I have to take a diversity class every year. They even have diversity advisory committees, diversity events, and other things like that. In most companies, diversity does not mean quotas or affirmative action. Where I work, we hire based ...
