Did you start on a mnt road in maryville that was normally closed to traffic? It went into cades cove. I did that a few times while in college. I liked Norris Damn or Panther Creek for trail rides. The foothill parkway wasn't that bad either and had nice scenery. ...

Grew up about 30 minutes from there. If you want a cheesy place to vacation with kids so you can do some pseudo camping/hiking and shopping it isn't bad. There are some cool airbrushed tshirts in those parts. If you want to go camping/hiking/rafting there are better places around there without ...
