Right, anything is possible BUT.... This is a real question for those that follow the SEC very close. LSU talent vs Auburn talent..... is there a real good shot at it this weekend? Thanks.....

I wouldn’t say a really good shot but they absolutely can and basically have to if they want to make the field of 64.

For the number of wins needed, this is the golden opportunity. Fingers crossed!

They can, yes. But they have had several games in their grasp that they have managed to give away. But the same can be said for Auburn. However, Auburn’s pitching staff is really struggling.

To make the post season they are going to have to sweep Auburn and Ole Miss and go 3/6 against A&M and Bama.

Auburn will be fighting for wins just as hard as we are. I’d be satisfied with a 2-1 series victory.

Yes
But Auburn did beat Arkansas so Auburn could easily win a game as well
Sweeping in the SEC is hard to do and even last year's team had trouble sweeping series

Everything has to break right to sweep a series and that's a tall order when you get an unfavorable ump which happens in SEC play from time to time

Have to get to 13-17 somehow, some way. To get to 8 more wins we'll have to go 2-1 in each series or sweep a team or two in case we don't take 2 of 3 from aTm.

I don't see that happening. we need to sweep both Auburn and OM

I don’t think that’s correct.

You're going to need 14 wins. You're more likely to get them against Auburn and Ole Miss. Technically you could say win any 9 of the next 12. I just picked the more realistic ones.

I don't think you're getting in at 13-17 with your only wins against bad conference opponents and an OOC SOS of 150. Maybe you win the series against A&M or Bama. Maybe you get in with a few good wins in the SECT. I think your best chance is sweep Auburn and Ole Miss and win 3/6 against A&M and Bama. Either way it's a tall order.

Revenge series! Auburn has somehow won the series against us the past two years so I would say we owe them an asswhipping (if our team is capable of that).

Real good, not sure. Reasonably good, yeah, I think so.

Will it happen, baseball will give you gray hair if you believe in absolutes

Of course.

You can say hitting is finally turning a corner but Johnson finding some sort of pitching rotation is the biggest difference. A sweep will go a long way in solidifying everything going forward and making sure our other pitchers (not named Jump, Holman, Ack and Herring) can fill in just in case they are needed.

Even with the season so far, we absolutely can, especially at home. But will we? That's why they play the games.
