re: Bernie Sanders: Obamacare not enough; Calls for Single Payer Health Care - stormyhog
If there are no rewards to effort and hard work, why put forth the effort? The top tax rate was much higher than it is now when Steve Jobs and Bill Gates were just starting out. Did that deter them? Of course not, achievers achieve.
I was referring to true social...

re: Bernie Sanders: Obamacare not enough; Calls for Single Payer Health Care - stormyhog
True socialism is a pipe dream. People that think that the government should control everything and all people should be entitled to the same thing or benefits from the state are living a pipe dream. Socialism kills innovation. IMO, people are basically selfish. I guess I sound like a pessimis...

re: Harry Reid calls on UNLV to drop "rebels" - stormyhog
Wasn't slavery legal under the United States flag? And didn't the flag of the United States represent at cone time the relocation and murder of the indigenous people of this land? Guess we have to change that flag too...

re: NC,VA, WV Polls(3 States, 3 Leaders) - stormyhog
Where is it coming from? I can't wrap my mind around how well he's been polling in several states. Who is pushing him and what kind of people are taking the bait?
Hell, Obama won twice. He wasn't qualified to be President(meaning experience). Also, his real views are not what I...

re: Who else hates the affordable care act? - stormyhog
Again. I will say the unaffordable care act hurts middle class the most. A family of 4 that makes from $60-$90k gets hammered. On top of $700/month premiums or higher, there is a $5000+ or more deductible. So basically you are out $12-15k a year before you get any real benefits. Remember...

re: anybody else live in a state that has dry counties? - stormyhog
Yes. I live in white county, arkansas. The main town, searcy is basically under the control of a church of Christ college. While other nearby towns are getting restaurants that serve beer and other drinks, searcy stays status quo. It's fairly depressing. ...

re: Well I'm another satisfied Obamacare customer... - stormyhog
It's the only way the numbers work. Big pool. It benefits the sick, perhaps, but what is wrong with that? Sooner or later it pays off for everyone, however. We all get old and sick.
Not everyone gets old and sick. Anyone who supports Obamacare, supports the bottom line of insu...

re: Can we finally agree that manmade climate change is here? - stormyhog
Can we all come to the agreement that you are a door knob. I mean look at the proof. You like to open up the same argument with random observations that don't proof anything. It would be like me saying: man the economy is great because both my wife and I got substantial raises and my dau...

re: Obama calls climate change an 'indisputable' security threat - stormyhog
And please tell me how we are going to stop it if it truly happening. You think China and India and the newly developing nations are going to do something, whatever that something is? Because the only real solution I would believe is to stop using all fossil fuels now. No cars, no planes, n...
