re: Biggest USMNT Games on Home Soil since WC 1994 - SabanIsAGod on 6/18/16 at 8:24 pm
The reason making the Confed Cup is a bug deal to us is it is at least three more competitive matches against competition not named T&T, Haiti or Guatemala....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
In importance to those participating, yes. In quality, no (Europe). In intensity, no (América).
Agree 100%, Copa America is huge...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Biggest USMNT Games on Home Soil since WC 1994 - SabanIsAGod on 6/18/16 at 5:27 pm
It has zero prestige in world football. The only thing it is good for is to give the WC host country a dry run one year out of the big event, seriously. It's about on par with Community shield in English club football....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Biggest USMNT Games on Home Soil since WC 1994 - SabanIsAGod on 6/18/16 at 4:34 pm
This is the biggest competition we can compete in other than the WC. It is a chance for silverware. Some of you seem to think the WC is the only prize that matters. Jesus, tell that to Vidal, Sanchez and the dude who stuck his finger up Cavini's butt that their Copa America win last year does not...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)

re: Will La Liga Ever Get a Decent US TV Deal? - SabanIsAGod on 4/2/16 at 8:10 pm
La Liga is like the Big 8 back in the 80's, top heavy. The SEC of the 80's was a much deeper and balanced league but lacked the quality at the top end. Oklahoma and Nebraska did not make up for the dross that was the Kansas schools, Missouri, Iowa State or Colorado. Shorter, La Liga sux...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: What happens to Leicester next year? - SabanIsAGod on 3/7/16 at 6:02 pm
Yeah am I the only one that thinks mahrez is average
I have watched every Leicester game played this season. Not only is he not average, he is the most skillful flair player in the league (Payet is close). Is the Watford game the only Leicester game you have watched? I just hope ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Leicester - SabanIsAGod on 2/10/16 at 9:29 pm
I agree with most everything you said. There are some great reads on the tactical side of Leicester and how Claudio has slowly integrated the Italian tactics into the side. There have been a lot of comparisons to the Atletico league winners for few years ago. If Leicester can score early doors...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Leicester - SabanIsAGod on 2/10/16 at 8:04 pm
I will say we are a lot more solid at the back now than the first encounter. I believe we have conceded the fewest goals since that Arsenal game in match week 7. Fuchs came in at right back and Simpson at left. The shape improved immediately, at a small cost to the threat going forward. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
Leicester - SabanIsAGod on 2/10/16 at 7:39 pm
I am not going to pretend I am some lifelong Leicester fan. I got access to the PL last year through my Direct TV and spent most of the year in search of a club that had my name on it. I fell in love with the Foxes about the time of the great escape. With that said this season is amazing. I wold...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (6)
